Do you have a good luck charm?

Do you have a good luck charm? Is there anything special you wear or carry with you when you need just a little bit of extra luck? Do you have a lucky penny or a piece of jewelery that you wear perhaps? I always tell my son he is mine, although I can't take him with me everywhere I go. What do you use for good luck?

I have a few different charms I guess. Some of them are religious in nature, but others are pieces of jewelry that have significance to me for personal reasons. My very favorite is a wooden bead necklace given to me by my first love, and I wear it when I'm having a really bad day or feel I really need extra luck. When I wear it, I feel like his spirit is watching over me.

Thanks for starting an interesting discussion for me to share in! :p It does seem very magical in nature to me too. It seems that no matter what's going on in my life or how worried I am about something, just putting on that necklace helps.

Anything is magical that offers us comfort in the way that this necklace does for you.

I was once told that my fortunes would improve if I carried a number eight around with me, because eight's by the Chinese especially is a very lucky number equating to wealth! So don't laugh but on a piece of paper in my wallet I take out with me is a number eight! As to whether it's brought me wealth? Well not in monetary terms no, but hey I still breathing and haven't been knocked over by a bus or anything, that's fortune or fortunate isn't it LOL!

I have a charm bag that I wear around my neck when I feel that I need that extra boost. It's just a little bag on a leather strap that I've got some important to me stuff inside. Crystals depending on the situation, a cedar bark rose for protection, a yin-yang symbol and a few other goodies.

You brought back a good memory. Someone gave me something like that once. It was a little pouch with different little things in it that were supposed to bring love and luck. I don't know what happened to it though. I wish I did.

Morning! I don't know if you would classify my silly, a good luck charm, but I have for many years carried a "worry rock." I have had it for so long that it is completely polished and shiny. It is always in my left hand pocket, and if I should misplace it....I panic. The times that I know situations will be stressful, it's my strength! Sounds silly...but it seems to be my little antenna to my Dad's wisdom in heaven.

Mine is so shiny, smooth...you could find it in the dark, and often I do find I take it to bed (huh?) with me, as I think that in my own mind I have attached those heavenly powers to it. One time, I had misplaced it! I was studying for my Level 3 E.M.T. exam, I couldn't find it, and failed the exam (could it have been from the stress of losing it?) In a month, I could rewrite, found my "worry rock" and aced the exam.

I think I may have had one of those in the past that you tend to take out and play with between your fingers. If yours is anything like mine its nice and smooth.

I decided this year that I needed a bit of extra luck, this is because some years ago a gypsy woman called at our house asking us to buy things from her. I had no money at that time, and I mean I was literally broke and I just could not buy anything from her. I remember her looking at me and telling me that I would never have any money, I would always be happy but never have money. This has stuck with me terrible over the years and I often think back to her words and wonder if she cursed me because I have NEVER had money! This year I wanted to try and change my luck with regards to saving some money and so decided I needed a good luck charm, My daughter had a little horse set given to her as a christmas present it was way too old for her, but in it, it had a little horse charm and it said it was a good luck charm, so I thought I would try that, it is only silver plastic but I keep it in my purse. Not sure if it is bringing me any luck or not yet the jury is still out on that but I will keep it there a while longer to see!!

I would really like to know the outcome of having that charm. Whether or not the charm is good luck or not I hope your finances improve, after all, somebody's has to. LOL.

I got married in Las Vegas a number of years ago and still have the dollar token that came out of the slot machine on my first spin as a married woman. I keep it in my wallet always. I also have a necklace of my dear departed mother's that I wear whenever I fly because I need all the help and guardian angels that I can get to watch over me.

I'm not superstitious and don't have a good luck charm! I do however feel naked if I am not wearing a cross around my neck! Friends and family know I love unusual crosses and are always getting them for me! My favourite at the moment is a celtic cross engraved in a clear crystal pendant! xxxx

I do, but maybe it would dilute the "luck" if described in a public forum. Anyway, I left it at our summer home and have felt a bit lost without it, so when go back in a few months I will hunt it down and make sure to bring it back in the fall. Either that or I lost it! Awwwwwww. No matter, I can always make or buy another one.

Well from the sounds of it, its not a piece you can't replace if you don't locate it, so thats good.

For as long as I can remember I've believed that you make your own luck, be it good luck or bad. Then after studying Spirituality for many years I realised that there is no such thing as Luck. Nothing happens by Chance, and there is no Coincidence. Each advent and adventure is called to your Self by your Self, in order that you might create and experience Who you Really Are. All true masters know this, and are able to remain undisturbed in the face of the worst of Life's disturbances.

I have a minature teddy bear cats with wings, that I call Angel Cat that now travels with me in my car to keep me safe on journeys. She is so tiny and sits above drivers mirror, a close frined for her for me after my old car set fire. I also wear a cross and chain too. Not exactly good luck charms though, but I feel safe with them. I think I agree with you that my little boy is though. I was doing a quiz one night on the computer and he accidentally pressed a button, I said no I have scored too high now (you have to end in a certain position) and that night I won £75. Ellie :D

Many times when I buy scratchers from the store, I have my son pick them out and 9 times out of 10 he wins.

I have a "house charm" that seems to give good vibes wherever I move. In the mid-80's I spent a summer goldpanning in California up near the northern border and was walking in the woods one day when *plop* a piece fell off this huge 20 foot boulder. I took it back to camp and it's been with me ever since. It's about a foot long and 5 inches at its widest and it's like little rock plates sitting atop each other. I call it my totem. It's been a doorstop most of its civilized life, it weighs about 6 pounds I think. Anyway, that's my lucky charm. What a fun discussion!
