Osteoporosis is a dreaded disease in which the persons bones become weak and brittle. If left unchecked, osteoporosis can progress painlessly until a bone breaks. Any bone can be affected, but the ones of special concern are fractures of the hip, spine, and wrist. I have been diagnosed with osteoporosis and I am very concerned about falling. I have been falling a lot the last couple weeks. I seem to be getting light headed a lot. I try to take my calcium with vitimin D each day but I am still concerned. I cannot take the prescription drugs for osteoporosis. Are you concerned about osteoporosis? What are you doing to prevent this disease from hitting you?

I am concerned with Osteoporosis because it runs in our family. I am trying to eat healthier and drink alot more milk than I used to so I can try to help revent it from happening to me as I get older. I heard milk helps to keep our bones strong.

My doctor also told me that walking will increase the quality of our bones.

I probably need to do more of that but with my work schedule online, I do not have much time. I try to ride my exercise bike and walk on my treadmill when I get a chance to, but I never have enough time in a day. I wish I did.
