My Rott had pups 2/21. They are so cute. Theres 2 boys and 2 girls. She only had 2 in her last litter and they got Parvo. I am terrified this might happen again. Is there anything I can give them to boost there immunity or there mom actually since she is nursing? I know I cant give em shots till there 6 weeks but that Parvo is HORRIBLE. I hated watching that puppy suffer:( Wow I was looking for a pic for this discussion and I found this called parvoguard I think I might buy a bottle just in case. For a second I was wondering how do you give a dog something who wont eat but it says it comes with a syringe. Might be kinda expensive for 4 puppies though:(

I would definitely contact a vet. How old were the ones before when they contacted Parvo? You are right, Parvo is horrible. Once the pups receive their vaccinations, they will be safer from it, but the vet may recommend something that you can do now, instead of waiting for their vaccinations.... Good luck@!

do you have to use the parvoguard right away??? you could save it for other litters.. we have stuff called nutracal we got from the vet for puppies... at first I thought why can't I give them nutra drench which we use on baby goats... well after looking at all the ingredients don't see why I couldn't... we give it to newborn goats. so you might try nutracal... it is a vitamin mineral supplement... and is a molasses base! hope that helps!

Awwww. I love puppies. I would definitely check out the parvoguard since it was an issue before. I have used a syringe for my puppy when she wouldn't eat and i nursed her to her regular weight like that. She was sick with worms when I got her. I bet the parvoguard is expensive but it will be well worth it. Maybe they have a generic brand that is cheaper?

I would definatly contact your vet and ask him. We had our puppy for about a month and he came down with parvo. It was horrible. We took him to the vet and he sent us home with a daily shot and an IV that we had to put in his back 3 times a day to keep him from getting dehydrated. It worked our Romeo is still with us! Good luck, i hope yours dont get it.
