Do you feel/think that some people choose best responses solely on the factor that there response was longer then someone elses? or well, what're your thoughts on this? and how do you choose your best response?

I think that could be a possibility, but I have never done that myself. I simply choose the best response as to whever gives me the best response for the discussion no matter how long or short it is.

I must admit I do not always choose a best response, simply because sometimes I don't find anyone particularly interesting. When I do choose one, it's always based on content, and on nothing else. Otherwise, what's the use?

Same here. I only choose a best response only if it is the best response for the discussion period. I never just choose one just because I feel like or think it will get me more earnings and such.

Yes, I admit that the length of the response plays a big factor in why I choose their response as best response. If someone posts a couple lines response I don't think they have put much effort into it so I won't give them the best response. If I have a discussion that has only a few responses and I think none of them are very good quality or that they put a lot of thought into it, I don't give anyone the best response. I wait to see if anybody else responds to it and then I will chose. But not if the responses are one or two liners. So therefore, I have a lot of unresolved discussions and that's okay with me.

Every member has his/her own criteria for choosing the best response. It maybe for the longest post, and to others, it is whoever post the first response. Whatever the criteria of a myLot member in chossing the best response, I don't question it. For me, I give the best response to the post that made a detailed discussion or answer or sometimes to the post that somehow satisfies me on the manner they presented their view or opinion whether it is long or short.

Egads, I hope not, although sometimes the longest one is the best, but not always! Sometimes I am torn between choosing one that replied quickly and one that said a little more on the subject but did't find my discussion until later. Did you ever have a discussion where you thought there would be no more replies and you chose a best response and then somebody new came along with a magnificent response two weeks later and you wished you could have given them the BR instead?

I seldom choose a best response because my friends gave me their responses according to their experience and opinion. Some are long, and some short. Different people has different experience and appetite, so the responses are also different. It is difficult to score them. I read them and give my comment sometimes.
