Ladies, Who Told You It Was Okay To Go Commando?!

Last night, as I got out my car in Ingles' parking lot... BOOM! Bra-less boobs. Right in my face. Not even cute, perky ones. Big, old, had-a-few-kids saggy ones. Now, I myself have a large cup-size, I'm overweight, and I have nursed a baby. I know what it's like to lug those puppies around! I would NEVER go without my bra. Not only is it NOT CUTE (no matter what your cup-size is), it's also very bad for your back. If your boobs hang down to your belly-button, PLEASE wear a bra before you go to the grocery store! If I am coming to your house unannounced and you're just knocking around the house, not wearing a bra or underwear, it's my own fault if I am subjected to bra-less boobs or worse. But if I'm just getting a few groceries, I shouldn't have to see that! Even if I get up at 1:30am and head to Wal-Mart in my pajamas, I at least take 2 minutes to put on a bra. Come on, ladies, I know that living in the South the way we do, you were raised better than that! I don't care how "redneck fabulous" or "country cool" you might think it is, you are sorely mistaken. Anyone over 25 should NEVER go without bra or, as Paris taught us all, underwear. I'm only 23 myself. I wouldn't be caught dead without bra or panties. I don't care how "cute" or "fashionable" you are or aren't, PLEASE--PUT ON YOUR UNDERWEAR, LADIES! Your mama raised you better than that! How many others are sick of seeing women going around with nothing on under their clothes? Is it just me?

Thanks for starting this discussion. I have never thought about it but will in the future. Yes, mine do sag after nursing two girls. I only go bra-less if I am wearing a very baggy fleece sweatshirt but honestly I think I am going to stop. I never stopped to think of the impression I was giving other people. Thanks for the eye-opening discussion.

I don't have a collection plate clem, you know that... I have a self-sealing wide mouth mason jar that was donated to my worthy cause by a generous patron - admirer. I also take cash. Hell, I'll even welcome your credit card. Phuck yeah, an online shopping spree?! There's a 300 dollar juicer out there with my name on it, big jugs of coconut oil - and other exotic essences and oils. A Pacific Domes tent with colorful waterproofing paint and a composting toilet?! Oh god, I'm in heaven just thinking about it.

You're very welcome! I'm so glad I made an impression on someone. I also started a second discussion on this topic called "Bra-less Women, Revisited" if you're interested. Thank you for posting!

One day I didnt have boobs and then it was almost like the next day I had massive ones and I have never in my life been out the house without my bra on. Do you know that even when I am siting around the house I wear my bra and then when going to bed I take it off. I aint saying I got massive boobs, they are certainly ample but I know that ten minutes out that bra and my boobs are aching. I dont see how someone can go to the supermarket not wearing one. That woman must have no respect at all for herself.

I got my double D's at age 12 and wore a bra always except to bed. Now I'm married and at home alot so when I'm in the house...no bra for me. However, I will pop one on even if I am just walking down to get the mail in the parking lot. And the only time I ever went without underwear under my clothes was my Sophmore year in high school and that's a whole other topic :) **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I haven't done this before in my life. Even if I'm just staying in the house during weekends or holidays, I prefer to have my bra on always. Even as my husband and I sleep during the night, I still have them on; but I untie the clasp behind my bra for comfort. But when going out of the house, I really don't think I will take it of. Not only am I not used to doing that, but also my husband is also conservative and doesn't want other people to see me without garments or undergarments. On my personal view, people doing this act - going bra-less in public - and having people see their bodies or silhouette; they need attention from other people. Maybe they lack this from their family and friends; but I believe this isn't a good thing to do. For one, doing this somewhat triggers sensuality from the public, particularly from the masculine public. In my own opinion, I believe it invites danger on the person doing this act.

Now I have no objection to bouncing boobs. But I must agree, in their place, and that place is not the supermarket or shopping mall. Actually the thing that I particularly dislike is the penchant for ladies to wander about in bikinis somewhere other than the pool or hot tub and men likewise without their shirts on. You may have spent a fortune on those tattoos, but we don't need to have them pushed in our faces. Sorry to have posted when I am clearly not a lady.

ROFL, it's okay that you're not a lady. I am welcoming posts from everyone on this subject! It's very nice to know that men do not like to see that all over the place, too! My husband doesn't even go around our house without a shirt on, even when it's just the two of us alone, so it really bugs the snot out of me for the guy across the street to go out in just his boxers. Granted, it's his own yard, but that doesn't mean I want to see, or let my kids see, all he's got! I know many people enjoy "bouncing boobs", as you aptly put it, but not in the grocery store! I don't mind people wandering about in their swimsuits and shorts if it's a small beach community (like Tybee Island in southern Georgia), but I have to agree with that one, too. Thanks for posting!

I am not large-chested but I feel naked if I go without a bra. I don't want people to see my nipples!! I think anyone who is at puberty age or older should wear bras, and EVERYONE should wear underwear. The only time I go commando is around the house, and that's my own business!

In an ideal world I'd agree with you in a heart beat. Sadly though I don't always have the option to wear a bra and I hate the fact that far too often I have to go out without one. I am well built and it's obvious when I don't wear one however due to shoulder and back injuries I can't always get a bra on. It's way too painful for me and sometimes I might be able to get it on but to get it off again would not be possible. Now though when I do go out I do not wear skin tight shirts or the like. I make sure they are lose as possible so that hopefully it's not as obvious.

i always wear a bra, even to bed. i have 3 kids and one being almost 8 he don't need to see that so me being me i might of said something. i have a hard time going with one i find it more uncomfortable then having one on. i would never feel right not wearing one to a store. i am bigger in the chest after having the 3 boys and couldn't imagin someone feeling ok about going out this way. although some guys like it and think its sexy. i know my husband wouldn't mind if i would go without one as long as we where home.

This is so funny and SOOO true! It's always the ones who should never ever go braless who feel the need to flaunt their boobs in public. I guess some people really have no pride in their appearance at all, which is their business but I agree with you, I don't care to be subjected to such unattractive sights while shopping. Now, I must say, I can't sleep in my bra as some other posters said they do. When I'm home and there's nobody to see me, I want to be comfortable. But, I'm not very well endowed so I don't go through the discomfort I've heard some bustier women go through without one. Annie

ROFL, it really is the ones who shouldn't that do it anyway. You also make a good point about pride in one's own appearance. I wonder if these women really don't care what they look like, or if it's just a show. Thanks for posting!

Perky or not I don't want to see them. Please holster your boobs. That should be a sign in restaurants and stores nation wide. No shirt no socks no bra no service. I think if I do the world a service and wear a bra no matter how uncomfortable it is then other women should suffer along with me!

Thank you! You would be surprised how many women don't wear one out of "comfort" reasons. I totally agree with your new store sign--No bra is just as evident and disgusting as no shoes! Why do people go barefoot in public anyway? Thanks for your post!

LOL! I absolutely love your discussion and yes, i am one of the ones that is sick of seeing women without underwear on. i don't have huge boobs or small ones, but i still dont go around without a bra on. its so unlady like. To me, it just yells out, "I feel bad about myself so look at my chest so i feel better". I know alot of men say, "wow, look at her or that's sexy", but that just goes to show what kind of men they are. It's one thing to wear something sexy for your husband that doesn't have a bra built into it, but to even wear a t shirt out without your bra on is just gross. Women need to start respecting theirselves again and realize you dont have to show off everything you have just to impress someone, or in this case really gross them out. Have some dignity and wear your underwear. thanks for sharing and God bless

Women going out in public without a bra on is definitely a pet peeve of mine. It looks trashy. It makes them look unkempt too. I also can't imagine how it can be comfortable for any length of time when out and about and moving all the time.

I hope you don't live in Mississippi, cause during the summer time I practically live in halters and shirts that make a bra almost impossible. I actually wore one today that you cannot no matter what wear with a bra. It is a halter and has a string that ties on your back like a bathing suit. I love shirts like this. I am me sorry. If you see me don't look but they are small you probably wouldn't notice anyways. LOL

I do see it occasionally and it is gross. I would never leave my house or go in front of anyone with out a bra. I would not have even done it when I was 19 or 20. I certainly don't want to see someone elses swinging about. As for not wearing underwear, that's just nasty.

Hello FaerieAne2003, I would just like to express my disappointment - where's the image contribution for this thread? OTHER threads have appropriate images posted to augment the tone of the discussion. Why not this thread???

Thank you for getting me to laugh a dozen times in 20 minutes! I think I know where the term came from. My husband was in Vietnam, and when in a combat situation, or with the threat of one, you have to stop wearing underwear lest the enemy smell you! That's right, it builds up body smell, even if you change it every day, and you do not even want to know what they had to do with toilet paper while out in the jungle! Needless to say, it was his idea for me to stop wearing one, and I am glad since the pain that comes from pinched nerves while wearing bras is intolerable! And all for the sake of being modest? Not offending others, even women? AGGHHH! Lifting weights help stop the sag, at least a little bit, and there are other options, like wearing an undershirt. In the summer, I often do not even go out since there are so many judgers out there who will turn their head and make unwanted comments! Mine do not go to my belly button, though, and I will do 20 more pushups today just in case I ever meet you!

At least you do realize there are other options, and that's really what this discussion was all about. Thanks for clarifying where the term "going commando" may have come from, that actually makes a whole lot of sense!

Again I say: You missed the point of the discussion. Please see "Braless Women, Revisited" for clarification. It would also help if you paid attention to what was said before you rant on something else. Why not try starting your own discussions for once, instead of going off-topic for WAY too long in mine?

well in our country its uncommon for women and men not to wear underwear, but in western countries, its pretty common, but in my opinion, women should ALWAYS wear underwear whether it be for the upper or lower private parts since its so unsightly too look at nipples peeking through the shirt that they are wearing, dont they feel uncomfortable? their nipples exposed for all the world to see? only guys would love to see that, and even more so if the boobs are sagging, they should definitely put on a bra.

well you could ask people who dont wear bras if their nipples starts to chafe after prolonged rubbing with the cloth! LOL

"How many others are sick of seeing women going around with nothing on under their clothes?" "Not I.", said the cat. Where as I can accept that the principal of all this is to make things better, I personally couldn't care less about insignificant things like this. If a woman was in full commando gear weidling her sidearm, yes, I would care about what she's wearing, either for infroming myself of what to do next or for describing her in a statement. But going braless? That's such old news to me that it's not worth the mention - even if they are/n't appealing. Far more significant things for me to look at when out and about. So relax...I'd probably be looking at some hot car or truck nearby before I'd noticed whether you're strapped in or not.

I can honestly say I hate to be in public without a bra but at home I'm less likely to wear one on weekends and never wear one to bed. Its not cool to go without one. And is rather uncomfortable when you're of a larger size (like i am) I didnt realize that braless was commando..i thought that was going without panties. (which i have done on occasion at my boyfriends request and only then.) I try not to take notice of what others are or arent wearing under their clothes...if its obvious then i notice but...it bugs me more to see someones thong 3 inches above the waist band of their jeans than not to see one.

jaja!! You are right some woman just go out without wearing anything, That looks so nasty lol, I mean I'm 20 and my boobs are great but still I wouldn't dare to go out without wearing bra , It makes you look like a nasty B* and is really funny 'cause most of the woman that do this are mature, I guess they are trying to get some atention or something ;)
