What do you think about preserved fruit in the can? Do you like to consume it? The taste maybe different and its not fresh as "fresh fruit", but some people really enjoy to eat them than to buy the fresh ones. They put in salad and also cake. How about you, do you like to eat preserved fruit in the "can"?

I like canned pears, I also like fresh pears. they are different, but they are both good. The one is cooked the other raw. I actually prefer apricots from the can or dried, I guess the fresh ones are just too "peachie" for me, and since I had that bad reaction to a peach I've been off peaches. Most other fruits I prefer fresh.

I do not buy very much canned fruit. The only canned fruit I really buy in mandarin oranges and pineapple. My kids love the mandarin oranges, so I buy those sometimes. I only buy canned pineapple if I have a recipe that calls for it. Other than those 2 I buy fresh fruit.

When I was growing up, I used to eat a lot of canned fruit. I lived where the weather was cold and there wasn't quite the variety of fresh fruit available during the winter months as there were in the summer, when I ate more fresh fruit. I know I'm not that old, but things have gotten better with fresh fruit in the winter nowadays. But, it's so much more expensive to buy it fresh in the colder climates during the winter, so canned or bottle fruit is a good alternative. But, I don't eat that much canned fruit now because I live in a warmer climate and we have a great, inexpensive, variety of fresh fruit all year around.

We don't eat a lot of canned fruit! We eat as much fruit as we can, but when the price is to high and we can't get fresh than we will eat canned. In the summer time I "can" fresh fruit so we can have it in the winter... that helps a lot, the flavor is so much different than that you purchase in the stores!

preserved fruits are only a kind of artificial foods. it's not natural . preserved fruits can't give the original taste of natural foods.

I try my best to eat the fresh ones instead of those that have been canned already. In cases wherein the fruits aren't really available where I live such as peaches, i eat the canned version. For recipes that need a variety of fruits in it such as fruit salads, etc., I opt to buy the canned ones rather than getting all these fruits together and chopping them up one by one.

i like to eat fruit from can but not too much. just some times caused i prefer to eat fresh fruit rather than packing in cans. and i also aware that as like you said dear, some people like to consume it. i dont know what reason they do that but its more practical than fresh fruit, right? so they need not to spend more time to consume it and neglect the vitamins on that fruit already reduced even going lost

I do not like to take fruit from can. I do not get that taste If I take it from Can. I like fresh fruit and always take fresh fruit every day. Canned fruits are also not famous in the part where I live. there are fresh fruits in plenty.

I only eat some fruits that are tinned others I prefer to have fresh. I like to eat tinned pineapple. If is quite some bother to cut up a pineapple and slice the outside of it. It is a prickly fruit to touch. Therefore it is easier to open a tin of pineapple rings. I like to have tins of peaches as well because it is bothersome to find a peach soft enough and it feels slippery to peel it. Some fruit salads come out of a tin and taste quite nice. I was once given tinned grapefruit but I think it tastes much better fresh.

I like to eat the can fruit. As the fruit is very soft and sweet. I especially like it to be stored in the fridge at first and then eat it later. But I can not eat it all the time because it's much more expensive than fresh fruit.

I must say I used to love this as a child, but i eally don't think there can be much nutritional value and all that syrup jice...I think it's best o hold off for fresh fruit.

Does maschino cherries count? I love them as much as fresh cherries. I eat canned fruits when I have cravings for something squishy and soft and sweet, sometimes the acidity level in fresh fruits are higher and tend to have a sour aftertaste compared to canned fruits.

I only like certain fruits from a can. I will buy peaches, mandarin oranges and pineapple and that's about it. I used them for salads, desserts and cooking usually. Definitely don't like canned fruit cocktail, pears, kumquats, lychee fruit. I buy some fruit frozen if I can't get it fresh. I used to preserve fruit myself and the peaches were absolutely wonderful. I think the syrup the fruit is packed in gives it too much sweetness too. whit
