How many of you breed purebred dogs or show?

Am I the only one? I enjoy showing & occasionally have a litter of puppies. I also support rescue and our local humane society. I'd like to know how many others enjoy showing in conformation? You can see my website at www.wmratz.com :)

I have a dog race but I never led to exhibitions, I am not interested. But I really like attend exhibitions of dogs, and I admire the dogs that owners bodies them so well.

Oh wow! I lived with someone who had a little black/tan Doxie, she was so cute and smart. I love the coloring and that's what inspired me to get a Rat Terrier w/ that color. Those Doxies work hard and have a heart of a German Shepherd! :)

We have done Terrier Races before. It's lots of fun! It is a lot of fun to watch dogs working and playing. Their energy just makes me feel young. Last year I attended the UKC Premier in Kalamazoo, MI and saw Dock diving in person. They were letting people just put their dogs in the competition for fun. It was 90 degrees outside and the dogs were at their finest. What a fun event! I also enjoy lure coursing and terrier racing on the flat and steeplechase :)

I think it takes a very special person to be a "dogshower" and you must be one of those people. And because you are special, there are fewer of you. I have dogs, pedigreed dogs, but I would be the lover, the groomer, the sitter.

The loving and grooming is the best part! I really enjoy my dogs and any chance to bond with them. The love and cuddles are worth more than Ribbons and Trophies. :)

I thank you people that give me the priviledge of attending/enjoying dog shows, but once again, you too, have to be a special breed. Good Luck!

Aww thanks so much for your comment. It means a lot. I wish I could show more than I do, but it does cost a lot of $ and take lots of time. Someday it'll be more of a focus, like when my kids are more involved.
