Hmmm... when i was in elementary, i really hate my math teacher. I was always absent if she came into the class. At that time, i felt frustrated to see her face, glasses old woman with curly white hair. Arrrggghh... One time i didnt study, i was really not in the mood. I was cheating. I didnt care what i had done, because i knew she didnt realized it. Teacher is really a teacher. They know student will cheat... they have "sixth sense"... hmmm... She found that i was cheating! Oh my gosh... She mad at me and gave me very low score in the class (it was terrible ashame!). I was really shy and regret never do it again... until now i avoid to cheat!!!

I was typically the one other people asked to help them cheat, by copying my homework or test or whatever. It was funny for me because I didn't pay all that much attention in class, and quite I often I missed class altogether, but I'm good at tests and things. I figured if the teacher wasn't smart enough to catch anyone cheating, it was their own fault, so I was never shy or ashamed about cheating. If I had been asked if I had cheated, though, I would have said straight out that I did so, since lying is against my code of honor. Yeah, that's a little weird, I know. I've never been in trouble for cheating, but I had a teacher who I'm pretty sure knew a couple of the times I helped other people on things we weren't allowed to work together on. I honestly think he just let me get away with it because it was easier than arguing with me... I was something of a terror when it came to using logic and big words to intimidate teachers.

manya_pearl, that's why your teacher found out you were cheating because you looked nervous and scared. she could see it in your face. if you're going to cheat you have to look calm and act like it's no big deal, then you won't get caught. hahaha... i'm teaching you like i'm an expert in cheating when i myself got caught. only joking too. have a great day!

Yes i used to cheat only history i.e out of these two ( american revolution or Russian revolution) we have to answer 5 page details about it. and i was very weak in remembering those days and other so i cheat. I was very good in other subjects, i love maths and always get 100 marks. I remember when my history teacher used to call me and says that i am very good in history but thing was different.

in elementary school i was one of the top students in the class. i never needed to cheat but like lecanis, i helped others cheat by letting them copy my homework and test answers. but high school was a lot different. i found the lessons tough, especially the sciences. i was nowhere near the top in the class. one time we were having a test in physics and i was having a hard time with it, in fact i was starting to panic because i didn't know any of the answers. so i glanced at the paper of the guy sitting next to me who happened to be my best friend. but the teacher caught me and called me out in front of the whole class. he said, 'if you do that again, i'll give you a zero!' that was extremely embarassing, and i never cheated again. well... till i was in college :)

In high school I did cheat once---together with the whole class. Our Filipino teacher asked us to memorize a poem but on the day we were supposed to recite it, nobody had it memorized. In our classrooom, there were two chalkboards--one in front, and one at the back of the room. My classmates and I wrote the poem on the back chalkboard, so that when a student stands in front to recite the poem, he could just read it from there. Now, we wrote the lines of the poem in between other sentences and terminologies about Science, so it looked as if there were notes about Science on the board. The teacher sat at the back of the room and she only looked at the student who was currently reciting the poem in front. She didn't look back. It all went well for about half the class, until one boy started reading from the back chalkboard very obviously. The teacher found out, and we were all sent to the Guidance Office. I was first in the list of offenders---the class president.

I wanted to cheat but I was raised with the idea that cheating is not right. So I did not cheat. But there were classmates of mine who used to cheat. And they went on cheating even in higher education. Do you think it is ethical to cheat?

I guess that teacher you mentioned isn't really that well equiped in catching her student's attention when she teaches a subject as infamous as math. Some teachers pull it off by being nice, attractive and even gentle when they teach some difficult subjects In responding with the title you have provided, I can say that I have never cheated at all. I wasn't able to because I stood out in class and if I tried, the teacher would notice me and that would be the end of it. They would call my parents, make a big fuss out of it, aside from inevitably giving you a failed grade. I even envied my classmates who could pull it off.

Yes, I cheated because the bookkeeping class was boring but my older brother was goiong to night school because he lacked credits to graduate. He somehow got the text book and the answer book to the test. So every test on Friday I just had the answers and did not bother to study. I aced that class but did not learn anything..but I also hated math too as the teachers at the time were boring and very dry. So I would not study the classes that did not interest me and got a c+ over all grede..but got into college anyway..as this was a long time ago..but I quit after two years. Because mainly I hated the math and accounting. It was boring boring boring and I went into the military for four years and started learning about computer. This was OK as I could get into something I liked doing and have had a few bad years and finally got hired in a big company and learned math when I got an Expense Account..as I was a lot of time on the road..going to various cities..flying, driving etc etc TRAVEL EXPENSE? CHECKBOOKS BALANCE/ this got me very interested in math and also the time i could charge company..as time is money..lol ..but it is not really cheating as most business men call it creative financing?lol so does governments and married people...lol

I guess I'm one of those who are proud and vocal of my cheating ways during school days, though I haven't done that in REAL life. Most of us here or outside mylot would never admit cheating, because for them CHEATING is a MORTAL SIN punishable by I don't know what!;)LoL I have cheated on some occasions, not always and not every time (I hope I made myself clear here!LoL). I only tend to open my notes when teachers would leave the room, since that's the only chance we have to take some peak on our notes. We also assume that it's the teacher's signal to us, to somehow have the chance to pass our exams (well, that's what I believe how it's done). Luckily, I (we) were never caught and that's it. The thrill and the excitement is what I feel every time these things happen, if I was caught then I guess I just wasn't that careful enough. Well that's a thing in the past for me already, what matters most is the present, how it made you and how better of a person you've become..

of course I did...If I hadn't, I would still be there trying to pass algebra I LOL I would study and then I would go over my notes right before the test. If there was anything I thought I would have trouble remembering, I would write it on the desk, then cover it with my test paper when I got it. then I could look at it and write the answers down. When I was done I would rub the writing off I didn't ever do it that much in college though. I never seemed to need to
