I've been studying this for the past month. I just really love these ATC (Artist Trading Cards), especially the vintage and victorian ones. Anyone else do this? Any good sites or books to recommended to a newbie?

I never really saw many ATC until I became a member of Etsy. I think if you search ATC on the Etsy site, I think you find several (well maybe a lot more than several) artists selling their creations on ETSY. Some of the ATC that I saw on the site just blew me away... they were so awesome! If you look hard enough, I'm sure you can locate the droups on Etsy that share the love of ATCs.

LOL it's ok I know what you meant. You are talking to the typo queen here! Thanks for the tip. I was searching around ebay a little bit ago looking at some ATC. These ppl are soooo talented and imaginative. I hope once I get to doing this for a bit I can be half as good as them. Thanks again

What a very unique concept! I love it! I did a search to see what they look like and some of them are amazing! Truly works of art. I'll have to let my daughter know about this because she is an aspiring artist. I could see her really getting into making these. Thanks!

i've not made any ATCs specifically but the local scrapbook store that I patronise has had sessions when people make and trade them. i think they are a lovely way of gifting others with a little piece of you. and also encourages more creativity exchange. sometimes i feel that ideas are exchanged but gifts need to be exchanged too! perhaps you can check out www.madewithlove.com.sg. they have a huge gallery that you can search through for ATCs.

Wow, how cool! This is new to me...sort of. I've actually DONE this myself, though not always in the standard 3.5 x 2.5 inch format. Thinking back, I believe I once collected one, not realizing what it was. It was made of wax, with things such as ferns embedded in it, & of course, the name & address of the artist. My thought at the time was just, "What a neato (but impractical) idea for a business card!" LOL! I still have it! I've been drawing miniatures to amuse my helper for some time now. Wouldn't be that hard to make some of them, at least, into ATCs! Thanks for the heads up! Maggiepie

I have made them in the past and I have swapped them through the ATC forum on docrafts.co.uk. I thinking of starting to make a few again aswell!!
