Once again! Im excited because the hubby and I going up north Jersey just for the day. We usually go every year up there just to window shop and if I find a good deal I buy it. They have a yankee shop up there which I love. I know I will come home with some candles and tarts. We havent been up there in two years. Its fun just to get away. And the food is delicous. So when was the last time you and your partner did something together?

My husband and I were honored to host our daughter's wedding last November. It was such a fun time and we stayed long enough to close the reception and celebrate with the best of them..lol Last August we also flew out of state to see our second grandbaby born. That was quite the experience since we also have a 3 yr. old grandson who was excited to see us and being a boy. It was a fun time and very exciting.

Our newest grandbaby is 6 months old. Haven't seen her for 3 months and it's killing me..lol They live out of state. The daughter that was married in November doesn't have any kids yet and she lives here. We have 2 kids that live near us.

Does that include children too? LOL Umm I don't think we have ever done anything together on our own since we moved here. In Samoa it was ok because we had lots of family so we could go to a movie or whatever. That was like 3 years ago!

hmmm terry that was a bit ago. We used to have special time for us, but lately things are in such a way that we haven't had much.
Still we're enjoying ourselves at home.
Just not only the two of us, since the kids are here too.
We made sugar cookies last night and then played cards.
Today hubby had to work and I felt a bit lazy. I did take a nap - and I can say I slept like a baby heheheh

Hey sweety I hope you had a fantastic time at the weekend! Are those the candles you get in the glass jars with the lids that you get there? My other half and I hada day out together today - to the hospital in the next town where I was having a lumbar epidural! lol Not exactly fun or romatic but for the first time in a couple of years I was pain free - numb from the chest down but pain free! xxx

I LOVE those candles and have been buying them as gifts for years - there are so many varieties!
The numbness is wearing off all the time and although the pain is coming back it is at nowhere near the level it was! They also put steroid in to try and ease and shrink the protruding dis but that should take a couple of days to start having any affect! They really do not know how long it will last or how effective it will be - it is a waiting game but at least they are trying to help sweeets! xxx

Sounds like a great trip. We haven't been anywhere together since our 10 day city trip to NYC, Boston, Atlantic City, and Philadelphia. We started planning it last February. We purchased tickets, hotel, and flight as we went and it didn't seem too expensive by time August came around and we were there. Excellent adventure.

Awwww, you go and have lots of fun Terry!
I wish I could go with you, I haven't window shopped in ages! And yes, it is sooo much fun just to get away.
Let's see, ummm, the last time me and my partner did something together, we went to the Vet, hahaha, does that count?
HAVE FUN!!!

Awww, I'm so happy you had a great time!!!..You must write a discussion on what you did and what little treasures you bought. That would be fun to hear about.

Forgive my humour but when you said you were coming home with tarts, I had this vision in my head, ok feel free to slap Wolfie for his dirty mind! I haven't got a partner as you know, but this weekend was my night on the tiles weekend, so it was a treat for myself! I don't bring any tarts back though! I just come back with a big smile on wolfie's face. Enjoy Jersey my friend and safe journey xxx

I'm glad that you are excited about your trip Terry, Me and my hubby haven't done anything together since we had a baby ;P hehe. I guess it will probably be another long while before we do anything together too. Since i dont wanna leave me kids with someone. The only person i would feel comfortable leaving them with is my mom and she lives 2000 miles away! I miss my mommy!

I was in Newark last June, but we just got picked up at the airport and drove to Atlantic City. I really don't know much about NJ these days, I don't think I have too many relatives left in north Jersey anymore.
I'd love to know more about my birth place.

Well, we flew into Newark and the family lives in south Jersey. My uncle lived in Little Egg Harbor Township and my aunt lives in Egg Harbor. My sister and her friend got a free room at Harrah's so that's where we stayed in A.C.
Shopping wasn't something we did, tho I did get an AWESOME little nicknack for my roommate in a shop at the casino.

It is so lovely to get away isn't it? Sounds like you and hubby will have a great time.
While mine and I do lots of things together there are generally always kids around. Hopefully though we will be able to plan a special night together (kid free) soon!

My partner and I don't often do anything together. He'd rather play computer games or go to the pub with his mates and I enjoy my time with the kids and going for walks and things.
It wasn't actually that long ago that we did something together. He took me out for a meal two weeks ago. It was nice, we went to a place he knows I like, which is unusual because he tends to go places he likes and I don't. It would be nice to do something more adventurous with him though, I tend to travel further afield with my best friend rather than my partner.

It's been quite a while since we've done anything together because of hubby retiring from the army a year ago last month and the VA jerking him around with his disability. Hopefully soon that'll come to an end. We'd LOVE to go to Georgia to see the aquarium that they have there. It's the walk through tunnel like aquarium, really neat and I can't wait to go and hopefully this summer we will get to go.

Anytime I get out without the dogs is a treat for me! Now that the puppy is getting used to us leaving, we're making a point of staying out a bit longer each time we go. We shop, have lunch, visit friends... with Hun's work schedule, it wasn't easy to do even that much. Now, with his pending retirement, we're making time!

My girlfriend and I try to get out of London as often as we can and usually we go stay with friends elsewhere in the country. But before chirstmas we decided we'd done Spain twice last year and wanted something more festive, so we went on the eurotunnel to Bruges which was beautiful, the christmas market had just opened and there was an open air ice rink in the main square, very romantic!. I think it important for couples to get away from it all as often as possible. I hope you had a good time in Jersey :)
