I am going to fly to Washington state tomorrow to spend two weeks with my sister. She is having surgery on her thyroid. I am going up to see her and help out with her son. He is 9 and such a love.
If I am MIA it is because I am busy helping out with my sister after surgey. I will be home on the 15th.
After I get home I have to get ready for a big staff meeting that I will be giving at my job. I will be teaching the staff what they need to know to get ready for the accreditation process. I know I am not going to be accepted well. I am a stranger telling these people what to do and how to do it. I see things that are not being done correctly. When I get home I will be speaking to the office manager and letting her know what lackadaisical ways things are done there. Things cannot continue to be done that way or we will not be accredited. The office manager works in another office and does to know anything about sleep medicine that is the problem.

Goodluck on that meeting... people can really be rude when they don't want change to happen... or when someone is telling them that what they are doing is wrong... just don't take whatever they will say personally... the key is to always act professional... nothing can go wrong that way...
I hope you have a good time... although you will be baby sitting... this will be a nice change for you...

Thanks for the kind words. When I was a supervisor I use to run meetings like this but I knew the staff. This is walking into a bunch of people I do not know. On of the fun things I get to do is pull the fire alarm so we know what it sounds like. We will nto have the fire department out. I will call the alarm company ahead of time so they will know not to call the company.
I also will be going over the safety policy and the medication policy. These are new because the staff has been working without them.
The things that are being done that needs to be changed are a lot. It boggles my mind that the doctor lets this stuff go on. Actually he does not know it is happening because he is so busy with his three sleep labs, and two offices and going to two different hospitals. He also is the Medical Director of the sleep lab I use to be the supervisor for. He needs to slow down and pay attention to what is happening at home or get a strong supervisor in his lab.

Well Mrs. Busy, I am certainly going to miss you while you are MIA. Who is going to spoil my niece and nephew. Poor Petie, Sammy, and Abigail. I am glad that you are able to go and help out though. I know that there is no place else you would want to be. But take it easy, cause when you get back you will have to whip everyone at the job into shape. Drop in on us when you can and take good care of yourself.

Petie will be staying with Auntie Barbara a friend. Petie loves going over there. He has a really big back yard to play in and two other dogs to run around with.
The girls will be here at home. I have my driver coming in to cook and clean for my hubby two days a week. She loves the girls so she will give them lots of love.

I am home finally. The surgery came out ok. She only had cancer on the one side of her thyroid. She is doing fine just trying to get over the surgery. I do miss her son I do love the little guy a lot.

That would be great if you will spend 2 weeks with her. It is a good chance for you to do such a bonding esp now that she needs you to be there for her.
I hope she will be ok soon so you will both enjoy your stay there.
And about your work, good luck... I know that you will be able to do things all well.

The two weeks went by so fast I did not have the time to do any work. I did not take the time when I had the time. My sister was able to sleep alot. My twin and I took care of my grandmother's needs for a few days. We also took our nephew to the movies. I loved that part.

Oh no teapot...you're going to be MIA?? I'll miss you being here but yes, can see how being with your sister is important. Will you be able to be on-line at all? And good luck with explaining things to the office manager, hopes she listens to you

I will be on-line some of the time. She has comcast for her internet and I go in one room and get on the net when I cannot sleep. My nephew will be at school at times so I will have some time off to see you all during the day.

Good luck with your sister. I hope that all goes well. You will be missed. And good luck with the job thing. I know how it is when nobody wants to listen to the things that will help improve the job.
