Do you own a laminator?

I do own one except I hardly use it. I think it will come in handy for when we have children. It can be used to create art and craft when they're bored and also to laminate their school artwork.
I have printed out a couple of designs I've found on the internet and laminated them but I find it just sits collecting dust most of the time! I read somewhere that if you can't afford to buy a laminator, simply take a laminating sheet and cover whatver it is you want laminated, then cover the whole thing with a tea towel and iron it. What makes the laminating sheet seal is the heat, so using an iron is just as effective!

Yes I do have a laminator, I don't use it often though, it's quite small and I only on the odd sheet of paper. I think it's better than going out to a store to get something laminated, as I it's both cheaper, and you don't have to spend anything to go out. Making it far more convenient for me, a guy who only laminates a few sheets here and there.
If however, for some reason I had to laminate quite a lot of sheets, I'd probably go outside to get it done, as it'd be far more efficient.

I do have a laminator coffeshot although technically it is my sons! As you say it is useful for the kids artwork, certificates etc but there are so many uses for it! We have made labels etc with it, good for making sure that important documents don't get ruined in files etc and so many other things! I suppose an iron would work very well but I have to say the laminator is really easy to use and you can buy them very cheaply here! xxx

No I don't have a laminater but that is a good idea with the sheets and the iron!
Though I'm almost certain I'd screw that up LOL.

i use to lament on buying one before and when i think about it i am glad i have not because it would cost me more than just going to a store around the corner and have some of my cards and pics laminated for a few peso and that would save me time, money and effort.

I bet an iron would work really well also. I don't have a laminator but there are times when I wish I did have one so I can seal things so they do not get stained with age and it keeps them from moisture damage also.

I had one a long time ago and used it a few times but moving so many times (army life) I lost it or it got broke and thrown out. I should get another one and maybe one day I will. They're great to have.

No i dont own a laminator since i havent either thought about it or have any need for one. If id need to get something laminated id probably ask a friend to do it for me and give some cash as compensation for it, such plastic stuff isnt probably so cheap as regular paper.
That was a very interesting tip you wrote, havent heard of it before but it sounds like its worth trying.
