Before starting a new discussion...

do you check if the topic has been previously discussed, like you're supposed to? I have been doing that and often times I find the topic has already been discussed but the last response was like months ago. I then get discouraged thinking this is "old stuff" that nobody wants to talk about anymore. What should I do? should I post a response to that old discussion or go ahead and start a new one on the same topic? Would that violate Mylot's rule and risk getting my post deleted? Thanks for your responses.

Honestly speaking, I never search for a topic before posting and funny enough I dont think I have ever repeated an already posted discussion. When you start a discussion with wordings and lines from you own it is rare to get it already posted. There are common posts like: coke or pepsi? nike or addidas........such posts can be easily repeated. I dont like posting such posts because you must get the same or more. All the best.

I certainly do, as much as possible I would avoid having the same topic to discuss here. That way, I could avoid such misunderstanding with other members. But there are also other posts that we cannot easily search for, since there are lots of discussions included in one list.. The best thing to do is, make the very best from the topics we would like to post here. Be more descriptive and add other aspects, so the post would be more informative and really worth the effort discussing..
