How many unread messages do you have in your e-mail?

I have tons of e-mail addresses since I do get paid to sites. But I do have one that I use daily and have had for almost gosh, probably 7 or 8 years now. Believe it or not I have 603 unread. They have just piled up I guess because I will open my e-mail first and see what messages I have. I will delete the junk mail and the other ones I will say, well, I'll check it later and I guess days go by and I never check them and they have piled up. I will have to devote some time to going through all those messages and checking them and deleting. I could go and delete them all but most are from inbox and mypoints.com so they are important but I just hate to go there, lol. Am I really that bad or are there others like me that have close to that many unread messages?

Ok, this is one area where I am REALLY REALLY bad .. I have had the same email address for many years .. ok ... not forever ... just 6 years .. LOL Like I said .. I am REALLY bad about cleaning it out , currently I have in my Inbox 21488 unread messages!! Some of these from back in 2004 .. I also use mypoints, but those are only good for a little while so get deleted when I find any very old. I would say you are not as bad as I am! ... LOL ~Rachel

over 21000 huh? wow, i thought i was gonna be the worst. now i don't feel so bad hehe... my hotmail has over 5200 unread emails, and my gmail has over 2800. i subscribe to quite a few internet marketing lists, and most of them just send emails to try to sell something. so i always told myself i would read them later when i have time, but of course that never happens, lol. i remember when hotmail only gave you 5mb of space, i was forced to delete my emails or i would exceed the quota and wouldn't be able to receive new emails. but now they give you 5gb, there's no more urgency to delete anything :)

LoL ... Glad to be able to help someone feel "not so bad" :P I don't expect anyone to have more then I do. Since yahoo mail is unlimited there is no urgency at all to delete stuff. I am on a number of yahoo's email groups, so have lots of stuff I barely read. That number doesn't include the spam box ... but since yahoo likes to dump REAL stuff in there too I keep it cleaned out LOL I have a gmail act ... but I haven't been in it in months ... wonder what all crud is in there .... LOL ~Rachel

Today at the minute I have 103 unread messages, this is the most I have ever had. I usually sit down after doing my household chores and go through them, but today has gone that quick that I just got time to open 1, that was a survey and took me 35 minutes to complete and bored me silly, so now I have no more time and will have to do them tonight when the kids are in bed, and no doubt there will even more by then!!

I have just checked my mail box just now. After reading them I delete all the unwanted ones and keep only those which have valuable information for reference. I don’t like my mail box to be too congested and I will straight away delete all those junk mail.

I usually end up with about 100 or so emails unread so do try to get through them everyday. One time when our internet was down for a week i ended up with about 1500 in my yahoo and about 55 with my hotmail. I dont like to just delete them either in case i miss something important.

Ummmm... I'm not even sure I should post this. 48,612 right now. I've had my address for over 10 years and get a ton of junk. I also moderate some lists and get all the mail related to those. (Btw, this is with a spam filter running!) I set up filters to find and pull out mail from people I know. Other mail gets read if I had time or gets zapped a couple of times a year.

Oh wow ! There is someone with more then me !!! Then again, even though I am on several lists I am not moderating any. I have had my yahoo mail act since Jul 16, 2002. Currently (as I write this) I have 21655 unread (24624 total) messages in my inbox. I also have folders set up to save stuff I need or want for future use. ~Rachel

I am usually pretty good about keeping my unread messages down to around 10 or 15 between all of my email addresses. I have to admit that I do delete a lot of posts from mypoints and inbox without even looking at them. The main reason for that is so I can find the real important emails more quickly.

I also have tons of e-mail addresses since I have signed up some sites. I have no time to read them because I do not have enough time. But some of the mails are useful to me and I might use it in the future .So I often move them to the GarbageBox , not delete them.Day after day ,after several months there are often many mails lying in my GarbageBox .I can read them anytime. I think you should not delete all junk mails because they may be useful sometimes. So leave them and categorize them.

I check and clear out my email everytime I get online. I used to do the same thing you do and I ended up with a full box. LOL So I had to change up the way I did it. The way I see it is if it is worth me reading it I will read it right then if not I will delete it. :)

Messages come to read. But these take much time and a person could not spare him or her self to read all of the message. this happened due to speedy responses of the messages or speedy service of the email. this cause to add the messages in your in box without any break or pause. solution of this problem is to delete the un wanted messages from your mail box. I use to do it and get rid of un necessary messages.

I have to say that at this very moment I only have 119 unread emails. It has gone as high as over 400 but I try my best to get through as many as I can each day but its not always easy... I have over 1400 in my spam folder that I very rarely go into. I heck and delete them every so often just in case something important goes in there by mistake. :-)

The email address I used throughout high school, and stopped using once I got into college, has about 4000 unread messages. My current personal use email address has about 65, but my professional-use address has zero.

I usually open my e-mail account once a day. I started earning with internet about three months ago, and from that moment my Yahoo! e-mail is always full! About 40-50 messages every day come there... But my Gmail account is "quite" empty, and I receive there only about 10 messages everyday. So, totally, 50-60 e-mails everyday without counting the spam. In fact My "spam" folder is filled every day with hundreds and hundreds of unuseful messages!

Uhm wowww 603 unread? hehehe well I guess if you are not online or checking your email as often as I am, then it does make sense. I have a lot of emails too that I use for "weird" stuff meanings the paid survey thingy, site thingy etc. Only one personal email address for me that I have used several years. usually whatever in there is just emails from friends, and important stuff, and since I work using computer in the office, I got lots of time (esp early in morning like this) to check my mails, and delete stuff that is not important. So to answer your question, day to day, by the end of the day, I dont have that many unread emails :)
