Need Some Ideas and Feedback About This If Possible

Okay wasn't really quite sure where to put this as it is a little off-beat, but since many of you know that I'm a follower of the Wiccan/Pagan path thought since this topic I'm going to throw at you is of a more "metaphysical" level placed it here under the Wicca interest.
As some of you know, I've been experiencing really excruciating joint/ankle and foot pain for awhile now. I'm just plain not too thrilled about taking medications since the ones that the doctor wants me to take have very serious, and life risking side effects (blood clots, strokes and heart attacks)...like yeah, racing to get them...NOT
I have been taking that natural supplement Glucosamine/MSM/Chondroitin and it has helped only a little, and not like it did first time round when I began taking it.
Some of you also know of all the lovelies I went through, with past discussions I've done, about my mother who passed away August 27, 2006...she was a very negative, sabotaging, push your buttons (oh she really knew how to push them!) manipulative person in my life. While she was alive and I was still living with her there was a LOT of very hostile and negative energies.
Now here is where the so-called weird part comes into focus and play. My mother had very bad foot problems herself...hammer toes, deformed toes and feet in general..she could hardly walk at times. Get the picture here? Only recently it was like a light bulb lit up and I'm just wondering about this. I NEVER, EVER had any foot problems in my entire life...in fact, if someone were to describe how I used to walk, it would be shot out of a cannon...uh, fast...LOL. I only started experiencing my OWN foot problems and severe pain only a little while after she died...uh, strange no?
So here is the question..Is it at all possible that her "negative" energies are still around me? And NO I'm not into or believe in a possession kind of thing, but negative energies can still linger around long after a person has died...so is this possible in my case and that I'm manifesting one of HER aliments?
Next question...it was suggested to me by other wiccans/pagans, and people of a more metaphysical background to do a "cleansing" of my apartment (that I had shared with my mother) to banish any lingering negative energies that still might be in my apartment...I've done this, but now think I might need to do it again...maybe several times.
Do any of you know of any kind of good cleansing type of rituals, and/or maybe even banishing of negative energies??"..And while you're at it...any good healing "spells"??

You won't believe this but since my Mom passed away in Jan. I'm going through much of the same thing. I'm having a lot of her aches and pains which I never had and we didn't even live together. I'm interested in wiccan's and their spells and found this site interesting and you might want to check it out since it is all cleansing spells.
http://www.fortunecity.com/roswell/chaney/191/id24.htm
I'm trying a couple of them out myself. Whatever you decide to do...good luck!

I think it highly likely that your mother's negative energies are still around you, because they're imprinted on your mind. You need to clear them, and keep them clear, for even your cats can bring them back into your home. Here's are a couple of ritual suggestions for you. Note, you will only need to do one of these:
Ritual 1
The first thing to do, is to get rid of the old, stale negative energy, clear it out of your home, via the door, and replace it with good, clean, positive energy. You can begin by throwing away anything that is broken, damaged, or not used, that you have uneasy feelings about, anything related to a sad or bad memory or has a negative feeling to it, like things that belonged to your mother, photographs, etc. If there are broken items that you wish to keep, then try to fix them. Next, clean, dust, vacuum, sweep the area until you are satisfied it feels good and clean. Then, make a note of the number of rooms in the house, including every single room and space.
Each room may be cleansed with a candle, flowers or salt. Candles represent enlightenment and will clean out the atmosphere; flowers represent new growth and will liven up the atmosphere; and salt will remove negativity and place your own imprint on the space. Salt can be placed in a bowl in the middle of the rooms or it can be placed around the perimeter of each room, which ever way feels best for you. You may feel one room needs one of these things, another room a combination of two or three. Go with your intuition on this and use as many items as you like. As you move through each room, write down on a piece of paper the first impression you get for each room and what you feel it needs, then gather your supplies and place them in each room as feels appropriate to you. Determine a specified amount of time you are going to leave them there, whether it be thirty minutes or an hour, and when that time is up, discard all items used for the clearing. Do not keep any of these items for future use... throw the candles away, flush the salt or bury it outside... if you put it in the bin, be sure and move the bin bag out of the house and to the dustbin area.
Note: You may choose to leave live flowers in a room, but if you do this, then don't use them to clear the energy, use the candles or salt and once the rooms are clear of negative energy, bring the flowers in to represent new growth and to keep the atmosphere clear.
Ritual 2
For this method, you will require a little more energy and concentration, but I feel it's a stronger ritual. You’ll need to focus your mind on what your aim is and confirm your intentions.
You'll need incense or herbs such as Nag Champa, Sage and Pine, or a Sage Smudge Stick, and a prayer or affirmation. You might include words like: “I banish all negative energy from this home and I bless this house with the energy of love and light” or adapt it to whatever feels best to or resonates with you.
Next light your incense, preferably one that has properties for removing negative energy such as Nag Champa, Sage or your Smudge Stick. As the smoke begins to rise from this begin moving it over your body starting at the top of the head, and letting the smoke swirl around you. Move down the front of your body letting yourself be surrounded in the smoke. When you get down to the bottom of your legs, lift each foot and allow the smoke to swirl under the sole of each foot. Start back at the top of the head and now go down your back all the way down. The aim here, is to let the smoke touch or accumulate around every part of your body.
Once this is done, move to the first corner closest to the right side of the front door, allowing the smoke to rise and fill this corner of the room as you motion and direct the smoke with your hand. This is simply done by waving your hand through the smoke up and out from the Incense or Smudge Stick. As you are doing this, recite your affirmation, over and over. Then, begin moving to the right, letting the smoke move up the wall and along the wall down to the next corner. Do this in every corner, on every wall, over every doorway and window and in every room of the house. Be sure and move the sage over, around and under furniture, as these things can hold energy as well.
You should work your way in this clockwise motion until you end up back at the front door, when you must open the door, and with a sweeping motion of your hand and arm, sweep the energy out the front door saying, "All Negative Energy, Be Gone!". Close the front door, shutting out the Negative Energy, then end your ritual by smudging your entire body one more time, in the same method as you did previously.
You can keep your home clear of this Negative Energy by placing crystals and gemstones throughout the house, or one crystal or gemstone in every corner of every room, misting your home with Holy Water, burning Candles or Incense, Smudging with Sage regularly, or by adding fresh cut flowers in vases throughout your house, on a regular basis.
I hope this helps, my friend. The second ritual would be more effective, if you can afford the time and energy to apply it.
Brightest Blessings.

You're probably right about the stuffed toy. Good work! Anything else should be gotten rid of as well.
Yes, I just saw your e-mail but it's 4 a.m. here and my scanner just came on so I'm gonna call it a night now and answer in the morning. I will say though, that the mug's a good idea. Anything that you think still holds her negative energies in your home... you'll get a feeling about, and throw out. The rest I'll answer when I crawl out of bed, if you don't mind, my friend. I'm falling asleep here.
Thank you for BR... and do look into the offensive response. I told them what I think too. How rude!
Brightest Blessings, my dear friend. Will e-mail you when I get up. Nite nite. xxx

Well since we've been PM-ing each other you know some of my responses already...did you get my email? I've already done some cleansings tonight....I went through my apartment and got rid of some lingering things belonging to my mother and trashed them...including a stuffed toy she liked....but the reason for that...I had bought her it one time when she was at the hospital...and every time she went to the hospital again, which was very frequent I'd bring her the toy as sort of like a mascot...All along it's been sitting on the bookcase near the living room sort of "looking" in on me...and it dawned on me that there probably was a lot of negative energies in it....so trashed it...A lot of other things I did today/night as well, and will keep at it. Including a "cleansing" of my own negativity

all i know of my friend is this... Negative energy can be picked up by buildings and can be generated by a powerful spirit. Get a good medium in there and get them to engage with the spirit. The only way i know of cleaning and healing is blue candles and your cleaning incantation

Dorrothy Morrison has a great idea in her Everyday Magic book for a cleansing bath. I'm temtped to try it when I've got the chance. You add a few handfuls of salt to your bathwater and hold your hands over the water and chant "Salt and water purify, negative energy where it lies Cleanse my body tress to toe As I will now, make it so!"
Then she says to immerse yourself several times in the water and use a few drops of the water on your hands to clease the inside of your nose and your ears.
And if you do not want to do that, you could always try cleansing your house with sage. That stuff works wonders.

Maybe the problem you are having with your feet is because you had such a bad relationship with your mother, that now she is in the spirit world, she is trying to get your attention to resolve the problems you had with her.
The only thing I can think of re rituals/cleansing as I don't know any offhand, is to project a barrier around you, so that the negative energy can't get to you and rebounds back to your mother.

Spirits aren't always the most straight forward and working out what they mean can be difficult.
Maybe she feels it's the only way to get your attention or there is something about feet, that she needs you to know about.

I hate it when this happens, I had a really long response going, but ran off to do research and lost it.I have a different belief system than you. I am Christian, but I would almost bet that what I want to share would not fit there either. I would say that the bad energy that you have is more likely in your mind/heart/spirit whichever you want to call it, and is what is manifesting in your pain, if that is what is causing your pain. Not in the house. In that case, forgiveness or releasing of that negative energy toward your mother is necessary. I believe that ritual is good for that kind of healing in yourself. My mom, and her siblings all had/have very negative attitudes, a lot like what you describe. I have, since I was pre teen, been convinced that a lot of their physical ailment and pain has been because of the anger and bad adjustment of their personality. I had severe stomach issues until I turned loose of the bad parts of those relationships and honored the good and positive that was also there. I was able to give up medication for my stomach.
Beyond the metaphysical are also some physical considerations as well:1. Genetically you have some of the same structural weaknesses your mom had, and you are old enough you are beginning to experience them. 2. Something about the house she was in, and now you are in, causes a physical misalignment that is causing you pain. Walking on certain wear patterns in the floor etc. 3. A coincidence, I have had a lot of heel pain this year that I have self diagnosed as heel spur/plantar fasciitis. Today I remembered that I have a friend who has had problems with a heel.Ongoing or recurring for several years. When we talked this evening, hers matches mine. She gets regular Chiropractic treatment to keep her ankle aligned, and when she does, her foot pain vanishes. For me, though, it is the leg that has the bad knee. It pops constantly when I walk, but the pain I feel is in my foot. My heel. I am giving serious consideration to getting a couple of chiro adjustments, to see if there is some relief for me.Over the years I have discovered that I will develop poor body mechanics unconsciously, and will cause myself ongoing pain. I hope that someone in this discussion has some insight for your pain.

It is spring time, and time for a new start all over. Let us both share whatever seems to work. I know that cures and aids that require money are very hard to afford. Me, too. I am finding that what I do to earn that money may also be the source of my pain. Where is the pain in your feet?

Well, our pains are in different places, but I have found good amounts of relief wearing support hose. I have a sharp pain in the bottom of my heel. I wonder if for you an ankle support or even and ace bandage wrap, especially if you are going to be up and down a lot would be beneficial. I am sure you do feel uplifted by getting rid of things that tie you to the past and to the negative in your life. I have still about four different people's stuff at my house and it is a heavy burden. I also find I can walk indefinitely, if it is on grass or the earth--with no pain. We went to a lake and walked and walked, last weekend, looking for the eagles that are supposed to be wintering there. It is walking in my primary place of employment that hurts, and yes there are tons of negative things going on there this year. I think you and I can learn from each other. I usually try to heal from the physical aspect, but I have found journals that have also tracked my spiritual healing. I need to journal again, perhaps, and remove myself from negative influences as well. By the way, I was at Wal Mart today, and they even have store brand dried cherries, over with the raisins and stuff. I may buy some.

Anything is possible. Are her negative energies and vibes surrounding you and causing your pain and problems? Or is it a hereditary thing that coincidentally kicked in after she passed on? There is no way to really tell. I guess if you do a cleansing or burn smudge sticks and the pain doesn't subside or go away entirely, then it was a hereditary thing and just a big coincidence.
I wish you the best of luck and hope that your pain goes away before you even read this and you say, "what pain? Oh yeah, I used to have a pain in my foot." :)

to drive away all those wicked spells that you claim you might still have around the house is to start with your self. no one can dictate to you what to do but yourself. cleanse yourself and once you do everything will fall into place and if you are bothered if there still lingering bad spirits in your house then try a lot of praying , if you are into it, i mean if you are a christian. even if you are a devout christian , it is not against christs laws to do whatever you can to get good vibes. use practical feng shui. here in our country , we have several healing priests that helped a lot of people whether believers of the faith or not and his name is father suarez, you can look it up at youtube. my brother was healed of his heart ailment without him asking for it , he was just touched , literally by the priest, he does not even believe in him. another way for you to alleviate some pains is use a magnetic product called "nikken" , look it up on the websites and there are several people selling in the U.S. it helps to manage everything.specially, pain.

we all pray, meditate and do the same things but in different ritual styles. well, whatever and however we do it , what is important is the positive intention we all generate to achieve our desire. It is how the brain or the mind mysteriously works ( like an alladin's lamp) you make a wish and if it is so sincere then it becomes you.so, let us make use of this power for our wellness. you know this, believe it and it will happen.

While I haven't completely abandoned my Christian beliefs, no I'm not Christian but Wiccan...LOL...we don't really pray in the same way as Christians do, but do spells where we focus our intent usually on a candle...much in the same way Christians who light votive candles for prayers.

not only possible, it sounds more than likely.
okay, first off. make yourself some kind of poppet. bind the foot around with black thread. this is you. keep it with you a while until you feel the connection is established. sleep with it under your pillow etc. when the time comes that you feel it's well and truly got the idea who it is and what it's for, unbind the feet, rub them with oils good for banishing, camphor, black pepper, asafoetida all excellent (unlikely to find essentiual oil of asafoetida widely availiable, so infuse the plant (after a good pummeling with a nice heavy rock on a slab, which is in itself rather therapeutic) and bury or burn the cord you bound the foot with.
a useful thing to do at the same time as this, around your middle, tie a ribbon or cord of red. leave an end trailing, and wear this under your clothes for at least nine days. less if you were premature. ideally do this at such a time that you can remove it on the same date that your birthday falls on. when that day comes, cut the trailing end from it, and burn or bury the whole. this woman does not own you any more. no longer do you rely on energy drawn from her, from the umbilical cord, as your host. you are free.
if you feel the house is still, after normal cleansing, holding on to her, and you won't thank me for this for some time after, smoke the betch out. asafoetida. as I said. you won't thank me. the stuff reeks, which is why it has such powerful banishing properties.
also, if you have anywhere, a door key that belonged to her, see if you can have it destroyed somehow. symbolically cut off her access to your place.
all the best.
G.

the date of your birthday. in any month, so say it's November 1st, then you could plan it for April 1st.
Asafoetida isn't widely availiable, if you have anywhere selling a good variety of dried herbs they may have it, but on the other hand, they may not. it's not too tricky to get online though.
the poppet colour can be whatever you find suits. as it's representing you, maybe your favourite colour, or one that you feel represents you in some way. or just whatever fabric or other materials you have handy. you could make it from anything really. from a doll bought in a shop (although obviously not as potent as making it yourself) to tying herbs in the form of a person, to a fabric doll, as is more conventional. hair and nails in it would strengthen the connection too.

Where can I find the asafoetida? I do have a botanica nearby would they sell something like that there? As for that red cord...you suggest tying a red cord symbolically to represent an umbilical cord and wear at least nine days but you hint near my birthday....yeesh...I would have to wait until November to do that....What "color" should the poppet be...I once did a poppet (many times actually) for the court case I was going through and did it completely in black..to banish

I don't wish to rain on your parade, pyewacket, but have you considered that the problems you're experiencing just might be hereditary? We get lots of things we don't necessarily want from our parents. I, for instance got the tendency to gain weight easily from my mother. She was heavy nearly all of her life, and only lost the weight in her declining years. Sorry, but I don't know of any spells(I wish I did), that would help to heal you. If you get some good ones would you pass them along to me?

Maybe you can try the LBRP (Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram)? It's not a wiccan/pagan ritual but it is very powerful and effective. If you don't like the Judo-Christian symbolism in the original, you will be happy to know that there are 100% pagan versions of it around.
Regardless of where its source might be, if the problem is related to negative energy, it will disappear in a hurry :D
If not, perhaps you could seek out a good traditional chinese doctor (a certified one if you can). Chinese medicine is well known to be excellent in the area of chronic problems :)

Hehe, ya, its a really really long ritual. You can find it on youtube (seriously!) if you have problems with some of the stuff (I did!)
As far as I know the ritual isn't tied to astro timing. The folks at Golden Dawn used it before almost everything they did, so anytime should be ok.
I use other methods now which require some practise to work (but is way~ shorter lol), but I still recommend the LBRP to anyone who needs some serious firepower :)

Very Interesting! I feel for you as a Yogi who delves into the metaphysical and meditation, but under a Spiritual aspect rather than the Wiccan. My experience with pain and disease shows them beginning and living in the Mind. "We are what we think!" If there are negative energies around they can be easily banished by a positive attitude and positive thinking. Your Mother is still with you, she has seen the Light, but she needs your Love to free her Spirit, which is still tied to this dimension by negative and hostile energies. Love heals All! Send her Love, set her Spirit Free, and Heal Yourself!

As I was reading your Post I was feeling the Negative Energy. Even though you told your mom you Loved her! Ask her to come to you in a dream. Parents never fail to help a child in need! Both my parents came to me in dreams. I just wanted to check in with them after they left this plane. They both came in separate dreams and let me know they were happy, and in a good place. We had always had a good rapore, so there were no problems there. In your case there seems to be a misunderstanding. Just let love for your mom flow, as you go to sleep, and request that she come to you. It may take a few days or a few weeks, but she will come, and the problem will be solved.

Okay sorry didn't respond to you sooner. Yes, it was very hard to say I love you to my mom while she was in the hospital, because obviously I didn't. As for asking her to come to me in a dream...uh, think that would be more of a nightmare...also, I'll let you in something....a friend of mine who is into the metaphysical was able to "channel" my mother, yes, channel....one thing she picked up on is that I have other family members who are in the otherworld who are actually protecting me from my mother's very potent negative influences...that my mother's negative influences are so strong, they felt I needed to have a protective shield around me to keep her away....kind of heavy there, no? You can take that however you see it but just passing on what I was told.

Yes I picked up on the fact that you voiced your love at your Mom's beside, but didn't feel it.Its important that you remember, "You are what You think."and Not what your Mother thinks! This negativity can to be nullified with Loving thoughts and assistance in aiding her spirit to escape this plane.Try to get past the negative thinking, (this is making you sick) and dwell on the Positive. Good Morning Pye, I'm sorry to hear you're having all these problems to deal with.
My religion is my own, taken from many different cultures and beliefs. I too, am part Native American as you are. I don't have any special rituals to suggest to you, but I can tell you this much. You can do all the cleansing with sage you want, but it won't work until you clear your mind and help yourself heal when dealing with your mom. I think you know this as well. You're looking for some special cure that will take this all away, and I really understand. I really do. I myself have been dealing with a tremendous amount of negativity (not the same reasons as you, but it's still negativity regardless) and I'm trying to rid myself of this to have a more peaceful life for myself. I know how hard it is for you to forgive your Mom for everything she has done to you...this is where you're negativity stems from, and this is where it has to be healed somehow. If you sage your house and start to think about your Mom and what she has done, the negativity will just return all over again, and, it's you yourself doing it. Writing down your anger on paper, as someone has mentioned, and then burning it, might help. It's a way of releasing these pent up bad memories, and as you're doing it, get mad, get aggravated, let her know how you felt all these years as this is your right. Sure, this might be hereditary with your foot, but, you're never going to know unless you heal your mind and body first. You might be creating your own foot problems without even realizing it. I think you know what I'm talking about, I'm not the best writer as you and other people here on Mylot are, but I try and explain what I'm talking about the best I can, lol!......At the beginning of this response, I mentioned your Native American background. Have you ever tried their way of mind and body healing? I believe this is where you might find your answer along with your Wiccan religion, between the two religions. Maybe you're missing part of one. Oh my dear friend, I really do understand where you're coming from, but I also know where you have to go. Any cleansing has to start with yourself, and then, and only then, will the sage work. Love you Pye, take care.

Yes, the idea of writing things down, especially the negative and then burning it sounds like one really great releasing of the hostility. I did a make shift "spell" thing and yes a cleansing...One thing I did was get rid of stuff..for some reason maybe out of a cockeyed sentimentalism who knows, I still had some items of my mother...why I don't know..well today I did a clearing out and got rid of the stuff..threw it out..especially this old housedress she always had worn in her last months of life...I often felt the hostility rise in me subconsciously I know every time I saw it--so out it went...I also came across an old letter she had written to my aunt in Calif which she never mailed off ...a VERY negative letter all about me and chocked full of lies--you just can't believe how negative it was..so hateful about me...so burned it!! I still have more to do...and yes a "cleansing" of myself as well to let go...but even though I did so much cleaning of the apartment today and getting rid of things...and should be dragged out tired...I already feel "lighter" if that makes sense to you

Feeling lighter already is such a BIG step on your way to healing and yes, I do understand that completely. I didn't realize you had so many things left from your Mom yet so getting rid of them also helps clean out negativity.
I'm so happy you are friends with "Darkwing". She is my bright light in the dark right now and has helped me tremendously. I was so hoping she gave her response to this discussion as I was very curious at what she would suggest. This my friend is your healing path, and whatever she says to do, I would do. I already feel lighter too and can you see the smile on my face, knowing she is around. Take care sister.

Here is another idea...
Why don't you just accept that she did pass on her genes to you... and that you are heading for the same health problems.
Look into the remedies...
For sure... there will be things for you that was not there for your mother.
By catching it on early... you might be able to do something about it.
Prevention is always better than the cure.
For one... I would recommend going for a walk everyday.
I have a friend who was about to get a knee operation because her joints were so painful.
In the meantime...
She lose her driving licence and start to walk everyday. Within two months... her knee is brand new. Make you think... does it not?

This is a pretty thin theory...
As I understand... you are not a big fan of doctors...
But in this case... you are prepared to backup your whole argument on a doctor saying to your mother that all her problems were due to her wearing "spike heels".
That's very scientific indeed.
And I guess... she did not seek another opinion...
By the way... are you overweight? (Don't mean to be rude). In fact there is nothing rude about it if you are confortable with who you are.
Because that will do it everytime...

Nice theory about the gene idea but doesn't work...her foot doctor told her she had her foot problems due to wearing spike heels most of her life while I never have worn them save once in high school and vowed never to wear heels again.
And I don't stay home everyday, but now do have to stay home more than I did before....some people are joggers I've always been a walker...but now the pain is so bad for one day I go out next day I have to stay home...not exactly fun to walk when in pain just going down one block...or even walking in my apartment...in fact, sometimes when I'm out and I bump into someone I know they ask me if I'm in pain as it clearly shows on my face--fun it's not

I am not Wicca but my sister uses sage to ward off the bad energy in a room. You burn it and wave it around the whole room.A Native American Nation does this, I don't know which.Try it. I hope it works.

My offering is neither ritual nor spell. It is an exercise that I did during one of my energy work sessions. Maybe combining a similar excercise with your cleansing will help shift the energies.
I have been seeing a very talented energy worker for a number of years, working on healing/clearing my mental/emotional crap and crud. In a session several weeks ago, he helped me release a huge amount of terror.
I had decided it was time to leave my job of twenty years. I knew it was the right time, I knew that I would be OK financially, but I was terrified ... terrified way beyond logical reason.
During this session, we explored where the terror was coming from. He guided me in "unplugging" from the energy of the terror to feel what being disconnected from the terror felt like. Then I made the intention to reconnect with my terror, only MY terror, just in case the terror was not all mine. And when I made the reconnection to the energy that was only my terror ... it was no longer this huge mountainous wave. It was a very small puddle of fear that was much more fitting to my circumstances.
The next step of the excercise was to connect to the larger amount of terror energy that seemed to not be mine. And to open my knowing self to it to understand its source. When I did that ... boggled my mind ... wasn't my own personal stuff for sure. It was fear/terror that I had absorbed from my mother from before I was born. It was my mother's fear/terror that I had been carrying around with me because I had literally been born and raised into it.
Once I knew that this huge, massive, debilitating terror was not mine, once I knew it was OK to unplug from it ... what a difference. What a HUGE difference. I was then able to function and carry out my plans for leaving my job and changing my life style.
It is enough to be dealing with just our own crap and crud without carrying around someone else's.
Wishing you all the best in your clearing/cleansing/healing process.

Wow..you bring up a really interesting different angle viewpoint there. Like in other words many of our phobias or "terrors" are not really our own, but ones that were instilled within us even before we are born, which is why we might not understand fully why we might have certain "terrors". That the "psyche" self that our mothers had/have and whatever they were feeling was instilled subconciously/unconsciously in us as we were forming...another angle too possibly....maybe many of our "terrors" are also throw backs to past lives??

I'm not normally superstitious, and I don't know if you can exactly call this a superstition, but this is precisely why I'm none too keen on accepting personal items that belonged to people, like old jewelry that they don't want..never know what kind of "vibes" might be contained within it..positive or negative or both

For myself, I have found that, at various times, I have allowed energies from others to become attached to me.
I will sometimes make the statement that "I release all that is not mine", or "I release all that is no longer mine", and I will feel something shifts for me. And if I focus on my felt sense, I can get a "read" on where it might be from. Sometimes it has been stuff I picked up from the guys at work, sometimes it was from family/friends.
I remember a session I did with the energy worker I go to where the energy I was "carrying" was from my maternal ancestors. It was a task I had taken on spiritually to heal a "chord" in our lineage. Once it was healed, it released.

I believe it could just be a psychological thing. Not a negative energy nor a spiritual relm. It may just be a psychological thing, that she "tortured" you while she waas alive and now that she's gone you don't have the nagging demeanor you once did and to fill that void you now have these pains. Or it could just be that you have come to find that you inherited her bad genes for foot problems. It could develop like allergies - as a child I was never allergic to caffiene and now that I am older I have developed an allergy towards it. (Which I inherited from my father). Just a thought.

I am not a wiccan but I am a witch and have been for 41 years. The type of ailment your mother had is genetic and it could just possibly be the start of arthritic joints in your feet also. Homeopathic medicine has come a long way in the treatment of this disability. Changing your diet helps also. Some foods actually trigger it.
If you think it's a bit more than that and you can feel a heaviness in your home, it could be your mother is having a hard time to cross over to the other side. Prolonged pain during life can cause disorientation even in the spirit world. I'm not sure about Wiccan practice but I can tell you what my grandmother would do. Infact she did it many times.
1: Do another cleansing spell. I don't think a bannishing spell is what you need here.
2: Do a crossing over ritual and help open the veil for your mother to pass through. She may not be able to do it herself if she was weak when she passed on.
3: Lastly put a protection spell around your apartment. Regardless of your relationship with your mother, it's been a tough time for you. This will help to keep other people's negativity at bay also.
Perform this over three days during the dark moon.
I do hope this is of some help and gives you some peace of mind, as well as your health back.

I don't know if it's purely a genetic thing with me and my feet. As I mentioned elsewhere here to some people, my mother's lousy foot problems were caused by years and years of wearing spike heeled-shoes...her foot doctor mentioned this, and I've never worn high heels...My diet is fairly healthy...no fast foods, not too much salt, in other words I don't eat a diet of junk foods...in fact...LOL..while I'm here in front of my computer, I'm munching on a salad --uh, rabbit food..hehe
You have a point that maybe my mother didn't quite cross over completely. I happen to have been at the hospital the day she "crashed"...She had been in the hospital for about two weeks and in a medicated induced coma--one medication they pumped into her was morphine
As for the timing of the spells or rituals...looks like I'll have to wait until the next cycle as the New Moon will be this Friday..of course I could still do a cleansing to invite positive energies in and well as a healing spell.
