yesterday was the anniversary of the day I was born, I started a discussion about it saying what I did and asking people how they like to celebrate their special day. Apparently stating HB is against mylot rules and my discussion was taking down. Were other people unaware of this or only me? If you respond please choice your words wisely do not spell out HB

Well Happy B-day Doll What is it about the b-day that they are against? Maybe it's a religious thing? xooxoxxoxoxo

I wasn't aware of that guideline, no! How ridiculous is that! I wonder what their reasoning is, because they sure have some funny policies around here. Anyway, Happy Belated Anniversary of your Birth, my friend. I hope you had a fantastic day. I like to go out to the pub and socialise with my friends. They all expect me to go down and I arrive to pressies and cards, and a few drinks, toboot. Then, I might take a meal later in the evening, with whomever of my friends haven't already eaten. I hate to be on my own on this special day of each year. Brightest Special Day Blessings, and hopes for many more to come. x

Well congrats on your special day and I hope that you enjoyed your special day alot and got alot of stuff on your special day that pleased you. No, I did not know about the rules of no HB. I have seen tons of discussions about that so I never assumed it wasn't allowed. Thanks for the heads up though. And to many more special anniversary days.

Actually it may also be against guidelines to talk about anniversaries as milestones are not to be celebrated, or some such. I do not always celebrate the anniversary of the day I was born. I do eat out, often. There are even years when I forget my age. I have co incidentally had some traumatic things happen on that particular day. We often celebrate monthiversaries at my house right now. This month I will be having my 120th monthiversary with this hubby. I consider that to be a special day in my life.

Hi winterose, First of all, I hope you really enjoyed your day, yesterday.:) Yes, I was aware of this, as it's created quite a lot of controversy over the past few months. There have been 'some' on here, who have tried to approach it in a different way, in a discussion. We're allowed to place comments on friends pages, regarding this, and of course PM, but that's it. Take care.

There have been speculations, that since 'we're paid,' they don't want the place overrun with people 'greeting one another,' in this way. We're supposed to use the PM's, and comments section. At least, this is what I've heard. The thing is, if somebody is not on our friends list, we can't do either of these, but may still want to offer our best wishes.

Here's hoping you had a wonderfull anniversary of the day. I am at the point now where I'm about ready to forget I am having one. But the family won't let me. I think I'll start telling people I'm 10 years older than I am so they'll think I look better for my age. Think it will work?

I was not aware that it was against mylot rules! How weird is that? Maybe some ppl took advantage and ended up posting about that special day like everyday just to make more money? Well that being said, i'd like to wish u a happy celebration of the day you came into this world!! We even have that in common; my special day is monday!!

That does seem to be pushing it a bit too far. It's not like you were making a post looking for people to praise you on your special day (although that IS everyone's right on that day lol). I guess next time, you need to word it differently... something like, "I have a friend. Yeah, that's it, I have this friend who likes to do certain things one day a year..." lol. I don't do much of anything on my annual day. The only common thing I can remember in recent years is asking my sons to do an even better job at getting along, for my sake. lol.

I hear you on that one hon, you know my son never even wishes me a happy one, I just don't understand that but oh well he is 31 years old and not about to change.
