We have all heard how breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But how many of us actually eat breakfast? Breakfast is responsible for kicking our metabolism into gear and helping us with all those calories we eat. LOL!!! So here are my questions to you! Yes I said Questions!!!! 1. How many of you out there actually eat breakfast? 2. If you eat breakfast what do you eat for breakfast? 3. Has any one come up with any interesting breakfast recipes, I'm so getting tired of the regular stuff?

I have never ever eaten breakfast for as long as I can remember. Its the last thing I think about in a morning, I am never hungry in a morning. Cup of coffee is about all I have! My children have breakfast and they just have cereals.

I'm more of a cappacino person in the morning. I have to wait a little bit before I actually eat like lunch time.

Most days I have a glass of water, a glass of orange juice, a granola bar and my vitamins. It's not much, but it's easy. But once in a while, we buy a dozen fresh eggs from a neighbor who has chickens, and then, yummy scrambled eggs, toasted half a bagel and orange juice. It's great!

There are so great easy recipes for breakfast on allrecipes.com. They are reviewed and rated so you can see what people liked and didn't. I usually don't eat breakfast...coffee is my breakfast. Bad I know but the kids have me running and they pretty much just eat cereal which I eat maybe once a year. I wait until lunch to eat for some reason breakfast just doesn't sit well with me and I'm not all that hungry when I wake up!:)

I don't usually have breakfast. By the time I've got the kids ready, I haven't got time! I usually end up having a snack mid-morning instead (it's usually a healthy one!). I don't like eating first thing in the morning but when I do have breakfast, I like to have cheese on toast mostly. I will occassionally have cereals but they are a bit boring. I sometimes mix a bit of fruit in with them and have also tried them with fruit yoghurt poured over instead of milk. If I have the imte and the ingredients, I will sometimes have a fry-up but that's obviously not something anyone should eat every day! We generally have bacon, sausage, kidneys and mushrooms and whatever else we happen to have in the house! I'll just throw anything in. I also like Wels rare-bit which is basically cheeso on toast with tomatoes on it (well, there are other ingredients to make a proper one but I can't remember what they are. That's another one you can throw on whatever even if it's just a sprinkle of herbs to make it slightly different. I have also recently started giving my son honey on toast which he seems to enjoy.

It's great if you like all the ingredients! Try it with Worcester sauce. That can make a difference, making plain old cheese on toast into something slightly more interesting!

Thanks you for your response. I have never had Wels rare-bit. It sounds good.

I've always been an eat around 10-11am kind of person and find it hard to eat at around 7-8am, I'm just noe hungry but they say you should eat a Breakfast everyday to get yourself going. I just find I have no appetite,LOL.

Hi there! I believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I always eat breakfast. Most of the time, it's a full meal. Rice, viand, a soup and a fruit with milk or coffee or fruit juice or a chocolate drink, depending upon my mood. I don't have interesting breakfast recipes so I'm sorry that I cannot help.

I do eat breakfast but not a very hearty one. Most of the time I am always in a hurry to go to work so I'll just eat simple stuff like bread, cereals, cake, things like that. I do agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day though;)

Have you tried preparing something like a fruit salad the night before so when you get up all you need is a fork and a glass of juice in the morning.

I always eat breakfast although sometimes I am up for a couple hours before I eat it, like today. I am posting in mylot and not in the mood to eat, neither am I hungry at the moment, but I know I will have to stop mylotting soon and have something to eat. Today I will probably have the same I always have and that is a bowl of cereal with a banana sliced into it. Sometimes on the weekends my husband will make us breakfast and he will usually cook us some bacon and eggs and toast and tomato slices, which is what we had yesterday, but today he is still in bed as he isn't feeling good.

I am never much of a breakfast person, I just don't have an appetite when I get outta bed and that worked well till I am into my 20s. Now that I am older, I need to eat breakfast just to prevent myself from snacking just 20mins before lunchtime so I can actually finish my lunch! Stuffing just feels impossible to me now. My breakfast journey started with oatmeal and a cup of cocoa, then bread and eggs, and now it has transgressed to plain rice and soup of the day.

Eating plain rice and soup for breakfast is a little weird ,it should have been for lunch or dinner, breakfast should be different ,when u wake up,do not u want eat some different stuff? After the coming day u will eat ordinary food such as rice or soup,so why do not choose other things to start a new day?

Rice is a staple of Asians, so I guess I would have learn to eat rice and soup sometime. It is filling and being quite plain, easy on the tummy early in the morning.

I try to eat breakfast every day. I usually eat a few slices of toast with peanut butter on it. Unless i am going to mothercare that day, where i'm paranoid that i might be around any children with peanut allergies. lol so i refrain from peanut butter on tuesdays.. and just have butter. My daughter eats apple cinnimon oatmeal everyday. I ask her what she wants and she almost always picks the "goatmeal" *giggles*

I know breakfast is a very important meal in the day, and taking it regularly can help us keep our body in good shape, but I am still lack of it for most of the time. The reason for it, is that I get up very late in the morning, sometimes late till the lunch time. So usually I will wait to take the lunch without breakfast. I know it is a bad habit, but compared with the breakfast, getting up late seems more interesting to me. Sometimes my mother will give me some cookies or cakes, so I will use them to be my breakfast.

Yes, i agree with you on the point that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Not having breakfast is bad for your health, and you may get gallstones. So even though i may get up late in the morning, i'll eat something.Sometimes some bread with a cup of bean milk; sometimes oatmeal with some milk.I'd like very much to make some alimentary breakfast for myself, but there is often not enough time.

I don't agree that breakfast or the first meal of the day is the most important one. It depends on your energy type. Lunch or the second meal is usually the most important. This is the one that should have a great variety of sources, vitamins, minerals, fruits, and vegetables. According to the science of the body studies one meal(lunch, breakfast not specified) of the day should have all the six tastes, according to their body and mind studies. Some foods stimulate certain areas in the brain more than others, having all six tastes in our foods..visit http://www.chopra.com/perfecthealth for more information on foods and science of food. the six tastes are: sweet, sour, salt, bitter, pungent and astringent. hope this at least give you some creative ideas. cbiznetz

to be actually correct the best thing for your body is to have 5-6 small meals a day not three large ones or just two .. Skipping breakfast does throw off the balance. here are some articles for you... http://nutrition.about.com/od/nutrition101/a/breakfast.htm http://nutrition.about.com/od/nutrition101/a/breakfast.htm http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/19698.php http://www.myhealthequation.com/documents/health-bits-3.pdf http://www.personalhealthcare.info/nutrition/nutrition_tip_5_6_small_meals_day.htm
