Date for my second scan

I have had a call today from the Hospital to give me a Date
The Date is next Monday the 17th
I tried to change that as it is my Daughters 21st Birthday on the Sunday and it is a 3 1/2 hours Drive from where I live, I was not able to change it as they want me in fast and there was no other Date so I will have to return home on the Sunday Night
Also I have to go for a Blood test on Wednesday
I have spoken to my Doctor today as all this has got me worried as it is happening fast for the NHS Anyway I have now got the word that he mentioned and looked it up and this is what they are checking out
Benign tumours can often be diagnosed by imaging and immunohistochemistry without recourse to biopsy.5
* Haemangioma is the commonest benign tumour of the liver. It is usually asymptomatic and may be found on ultrasound examination, perhaps for gallstones. They usually cause no problem unless an injudicious attempt is made at liver biopsy as the lesion may bleed profusely. They are thought to be congenital but may enlarge under the influence of oral contraceptives but usually regress when they are stopped. If they require removal this is not usually amenable to simple excision of the tumour and a whole lobe of the liver must be removed. A haemangioma is usually only 1 or 2cm in diameter but a cavernous haemangioma may reach 8 to 10cm in diameter. Haemangiomas grow during pregnancy and administration of oestrogens but a case control study failed to find a correlation between oral contraceptive use and haemangioma6
I will of course let everyone know the outcome and yes I am scared no matter what anyone says
To go from a Healthy Person to a wreck is not easy to deal with even after 5 years of being first Diagnosed and now this

Sweetie, I don't blame you for being scared and angry. For them to take 5 years to get to this point where they are finally trying to figure things out would upset me too. And not knowing what the outcome will be is scary all by itself. I'm glad they are finally putting somewhat of a rush on things, even though it does mean you having to come back early next weekend. You do not sound bitter to me. It is more like an emotional wreck. That is to be expected. I will be thinking about you and praying that it is nothing too serious. Good luck and keep us informed.

Hi Dearie,
You have all the right to be scared, bitter and angry. I would, if I were in your situation. Its not cool to have some foreign thing growing inside our body. Many questions will start popping on our mind.
Had I not been taking care of my body enough? Had I not been good and kind to other people? What had I done to deserve this? So many questions and yet, no plausible answers.
Take heart, my dear. Of all my friends at mylot, I'm mostly worried about you. If only I have the resources to fly and accompany you, I will. As always, I will pray for you.

That is actually what has been going through my head since I was diagnosed with the Emphasimia and COPD 5 Years ago and now all this
But I guess I have to take it in my Stride and accept whatever is going to hit me

I know the timing is bad sweety what with your sweet babies 21st but at least it is better than waiting weeks! I know it is quick but sometimes when you are in that system it does move quickly! There is no point in telling you not to worry as I know you will no matter what and it is natural! Please remember I am here and will be thinking of you! xxx

Okay, I understand that this is quick for your medical system and that is scary, but it also is a blessing, as they said that you do not check this out with a biopsy, so I am glad some knife happy person did not try to do that, to get it over quickly. Maybe this is the last round of checking and tweaking your health. Prayers for you miss gabs, and keep the faith. Enjoy the celebration with your daughter, and of course keep us posted.(((hugs)))

I understand hon, it is very scary, regardless of whether or not is something simple, just that fact that you don't know what it is yet is scary.

Well, if you're determined to class yourself as a wreck, no matter what anybody says, then you disappoint me, Gabs. I don't see you as a wreck at all and this diagnosis is one of the best you could have, all things being considered. The tumour is benign, which means inactive, as opposed to the malignant type, which is the cancerous one, so you need not be scared... please try not to worry too much as stress doesn't help your condition one little bit. I doubt they'll even touch it in fact... they're checking to make sure it's what they think, is all.
I know that on top of everything else, this must be a great worry for you, and I feel for you having to go through all this. (((((Huggggs))))). But please try to be calm, as everything is under control and they have caught it early enough to deal with it as necessary. That's the only reason they want you in quickly, so they can put this out of the way and deal with whatever is actually causing your problem.
Something I hope will make you smile... you got in even quicker than K!!! lol. He doesn't go in until the 26th! I'd better not tell him you're getting in before him! lol.
Keep your chin up, Sweetheart, we're all sending our healing energies and prayers your way, and I'm sure you'll come through this quite quickly. Love and hugs. xxxxx

I nice response and I agree with your sentiments my friend. There is always someone worse than ourselves but it is US ourselves that we have to make sure of by keeping up a stiff upper lip and get on the best we can with our lives.

Of course I understand that, my friend. Your way is the only way you can deal with it, but I'm just trying to reassure you that you're worries are unfounded at this moment. We both know you could do without this added stress, especially now. You have a lot on your plate, one way and another, but you have to find the strength somewhere, to get through this with the minimum of stress, for your own good... not for mine, or anybody else's. Then again, I suppose some people find that strength in thinking the worst so that whatever happens, the news is better than they expected.
(((Hugggggggggs))). My thoughts are with you, Gabs, and I worry about your state of mind sometimes. I, like you, will be glad when all this is over, but worrying won't solve anything, Sweetheart. I am sorry to hear about all of this gabs. I know it has to be tough emotionally on you and your family. You have every right to be scared and angry. I don't know that I wouldn't feel much the same way if I were in your shoes. Just be patient and we will pray for you!

Wow, that is quick a week today! Sweetheart you have gone through so much and yet you remain brave, strong and tenacious and I am proud of you, Gissi was only telling me yesterday that he worships the ground you walk on and he is worried about you. I am sending you a big hug and lots of good, calming karma. You have every right to be scared, angry and bitter, but you have a lot of friends who are on hand to give you the love, support and listening that you rightfully deserve, love you babe xxxx

ok lets not get to upset till the scan comes through ok!
ANd if benign they should be able to do more with it than removeal You will have to see how big it is and if it can be treated with out an operation! talk all this over with DOc see if there isnt some alternitive you can do before getting cut on Like if gallstones they should be able to get flushed out!.
I for one dont recommend getting cut on unless absolutly nessasary!

You have a lot to be scared and worried about. It is very understandable. I like you was healthy also untill 6 years ago when I found out that I have ms. A brain tumor is a lot more to be concerned about though. I will keep you in my prayers and hope everything turns out well.

I don't have a Brain tumour I have a tumour on my Liver but it is not cancerous so they say that is why they are doing another Scan, my biggest concern is if Ineed an Op as I have Emphasmia and COPD and it just scares me

Hi Gabs. Im so sorry to hear about your situation and rest assured I will be praying for you that day of your scan and for healing. I will also pray that God will give you the courage and strength for your family as well.
I know its easy to say this but be brave and all happens for a reason.
I want to share to you a story of how a man cured himself of his irregular condition of his heart. It is a long one and if you can message to me your email add, I would be glad to share it with you. Try to be positive about it and think and imagine your liver being healthy and thank God for your healthy liver.
Last week I had a terrible throat infection since I am susceptible to throat infection since childhood and I just imagine to have a healthy throat and thank God for a healthy throat. With just one day of doing it, I noticed that late in that day, my throat is not painful anymore when I swallow.
I know my pain is not as big as yours but nothing is impossible with God and positive thoughts!
