Would you give a fruit basket as a gift? I have a friend who always tells me she doesn't need anything. She is always on some kind of diet and I am searching for the right gift this week. Any suggestions are welcome, as I want to surprise her for being there for me.

I love getting fruit baskets and I thing they are great for someone who is on a diet especially since fruit is usually so expensive. I've seen places online where they have fruit carved into floweres and all sorts of other things. They might be expensive but I think she would appreciate it and it would be good for her at the same time.

Fruit carved into flowers would sure be different. I think that would be perfect and will go out and find some sites with them. She loves flowers and would sure appreciate being able to continue with her weight reduction. Thanks this will be perfect.

I think a fruit basket would be a nice thoughtful gift for someone on a diet. I wouldn't mind getting a fruit basket, as long as the fruit looked fresh and it was arranged nicely with a nice variety.
Fruit is very healthy and even though it has sugar, it has lots of fiber as well, which aids in losing weight and cancelling out the sugar.
Very nice choice! Hope she likes it. :)

I won't buy a fruit basket as a gift. I tend to buy the fruits. I did receive the fruit basket as a gift for several times. However, it looks nice but sometimes the fruits inside are not fresh.

If I couldn't come up with another gift, I would give a fruit basket. I love fruit and I know several others who would love to get one as well :)

Well, I know that a fruit basket for someone in hospital is a nice idea.
What is the gift for? Her birthday?
I think a basket of fruit is a lovely idea & can be presented beautifully with a ribbon. Just dont choose fruits that go off quickly.

Does she like flowers? Some spring bulbs to force that have a wonderful fragrance like hyacinths or narcissus? You could plant them in a pretty little bowl so no work involved for her. Not as bad as a house plant she would have to take care of forever. Some expensive products from Bath and Body? Oh, and the fruit basket is not a bad idea at all. The last one we received had chocolate dipped strawberries on top - not very diet-y, but very good. whit
