I was having this discussion awhile back with my boyfriend,
I have a will made ever since I was first married way back when I was 20 years old, yes I am divorced now,
but I still have my will,
my boyfriend is also divorced,
I asked him if he has a will made out and he said no,
I said what about the kids they will fight over what you have, and he said so let them I am died I don't care.
do you have a will why or why not?
does your parents have one,
is there anything they have that you would fight over once they pass on,
money,
house,
jewellery
car
china
anything?

Me and hubby both don't have a will, and i know we should have one, cuz you're never too young to die right? But it just feels weird even talking about writing our wills...but now that we have a son, an extra reason to make one...how do you proceed to write your will? you have to meet with a notary right?

yes you can have one done at a notary which is the best one
then there is what is called an english will where you right it up and have two witnesses sign it, there is a third I think but I don't remember,
anyhow the one done by a notary or lawyer is the one that has less of a chance to be contested for its validity

well i think when there are kids involved, you need to figure out who is going to take care of them...thats priority and then you can decide what you want to do with the stuff...
when i get older, i will make everything equal for my daughters and yes, my parents have wills (they better have - because i am an only child and all that stuff falls on me! )

I don't have a will wrote up either but I want my daughter and my husband to have it all. I guess we never have set the money aside to go get it done or took the time to actually sit down and write it all out. We have wrote our own will to each other though stating that we will give to each other in the home.
My parents have a will but I do not want any of it, nor would I fight over anything with my other sisters. It is not worth it. they can have it.
We do have a living will though.

I only have a living will which gives instructions in case I need life support and I don't want to be kept on it. As for as for property, I like everyone else intend to get around to it but never do. I guess I should, although I'd hope my kids wouldn't fight over anything. I hope they will split things up evenly and not fight about it.

As of yet neither me or my hubby have made a will, the kids are all still young so there wouldnt be any fighting until they were older!. The only thing worth anything that my kids would maybe fight over would be the house, so I guess we will have to sort that out so its fair, as there is 4 of them. They may fall out over my cd collection as that is massive but not really worth anything and I dont really have anything else worth anything, so they should be pretty fallout free when I am not here. I am an only child so I wont have anyone to fight with!

We don't have a will made up yet. We've talked about it but we haven't done it yet. Its a hard thing to think about. We had a big decision over who would raise our kids too. His parents don't seem that interested in our kids, so I don't think they'd want them. Plus they didn't do too great with their kids. My sister married a jerk, so I don't want them to have our kids. My husbands one brother has anger issues and can't handle the two kids he has. His other brother right now is young and single, so I don't know what kind of parent he might be. So that leaves my parents. My parents love my kids like crazy. I felt a little guilty because they are enjoying their empty nest and traveling, I didn't want to stick them with 3 kids. But they said they would want them. I just hope nothing ever happens. My parents have a will, but the only thing they really have is their house. My sister and I are to both get it, but I think I would be the one to live there. I've always loved the area. I think its important to have a will, it gets all your affairs in order and keeps everyone from fighting over who gets what.

Yes, I do have a wiil I have had one since my children were small, because I wanted to make shure that they would be taken care of and would go to the people that i trusted. They are both grown now. I am divorced. So I Now have my own will made up.If you do not have a wii, everything can go to the state. Your children will have to fight for everything. I do not want anyone to fight over my things.
