How does your garden grow?

Do you have a garden? Do you prefer vegetables or flowers? I tend to have a green thumb when it comes to vegetable gardens. I think I'll have tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, and maybe radishes this year. I accidentally grew some big pumpkins a couple of years ago (I'd carved jack o'lanterns on the front porch and washed the seeds and "guts" off into what was supposed to be the front flower bed. Lo and behold, I managed to get four pumpkins for the next Halloween. Do you like to grow things? What are your favorites?

I love to have plants in the house, but right now we live in the basement and we have no sunlight.. it sucks. When we move i plan on getting some plants. I dont have a garden either, but maybe someday when we own our own house.. then i will start a veggie garden ;)

Yes...I have gardenssssss! Many of them! Grow as many sustainable veggies as I can and have flowers that are workhorses...use them for companion plants to keep the bugs away....and loads of flowers for their beauty! Love nasturtiums for their wonderful aroma...and the fact that every part of them is edible. The flowers & leaves are wonderful/nutritius in salads. The leaves have a wonderful pepper taste! The seeds I make pickled capers out of! Capers are so expensive to buy (but so good with smoked salmon, etc.,) but the homemade ones I find are almost superior. Lift your senses..smell the good earth!

I used to plant flowers a lot when I was a kid. I hated vegetables, and didn't even want to plant them. xD These days I'm too scared of the bugs to do any gardening.

I can't grow flowers in my gardens. Never could keep one of those things alive. Even when my son passed away 9 years ago, I gave her all the live plants people sent. She still has most of them alive to this day. My best thing to grow is Tomatoes. I can never go wrong with them. I always have more than my share so I give them to family and friend's for whatever they want to do with them. Most of the time they eat them in salad or slice them up for hamburgers. I'm going to trying growing lettuce this year and see if I can have my own garden fresh salad.

I don't have a garden but that is my dream. If I had a garden, I would plant roses all around it. Every morning ,I would get up to take several fresh sweet rose to my room. If I had time, I would take a walk with my Mr.Right in the garden. How good it is!
