Almost everyone feels the need to save money. the volatile economy and general uncertainty of today has given us all pause to consider whether or not we have enough money saved, and if not how to get to that point. Saving money can be difficult. After all, most of live on relatively tight budgets already. However, there are few things we can do that will help increase our savings balances quite a bit. five of the best ways to help boost your saving are: Differentiate Need from Wants; Pay Bills on Time; Save Gifts; Save Tax Refunds; & Use Direct Deposit. These tips should remind us that our financial lives really not just all about the big happenings. Instead, our financial lives are comprised of thousands upon thousands of small transactions and expenses. By addressing some of these with a mindset of financial improvement we can find ways to make the seemingly mundane put a little more money in our pockets. Thanks for sharing these suggestions. I do a lot of these already. I think it is important to save money in any way we can. For me, this would be made up of not spending anything you don't need to, and to turn off lights and other appliances when not in use. I try to put at least a little into the bank each month to go toward my retirement since my current job does not provide that. I have been living in China for over a year and I had three months pay saved up before I went on vacation in January. Now I have to build that back up again. I have a good chunk of money(for me) in a bank in America so that is my real savings if I can keep from having to dig into that. I hope that I can save more money soon.

Good for you. You work in China? What do you do? Discover the biggest money leaks at your monthly expenses, maybe able to increase your saving. Cause earning more money without plug the leaks are not effective. Efficiency at home also reduce our bills expenses.

I teach English. I think the biggest "leak" in my savings is my nephew. When I was alone, I only spent about a third of what I make. My nephew came back with me after I went on vacation and now, I have almost nothing. His dad was talking about sending me money, but I don't know if that will happen. That's life!!!

When you are getting sick, your company did not pay the bill?..cause at my company, Indonesia, company pay all bill as a medical insurance. To get more income, for this past 3 years I made a mini store that sell cellular phone reload vouchers. So, I able to save my main salary from the company I work up to 50% for each month.

I try as much as I can to put the money away that I earn online. I have an ISA account that I pay I all my cheques into, but I find that coming towards the end of the month I tend to break into this money. It's naughty really I know but it's so hard to make my money stretch all the way to next pay day!
