myLot Code, myLot Flyers and Notification Management

Hello everyone!
As you may have noticed already, we launched some new myLot features today. These upgrades are all a result of feedback from myLot users, so thanks for the ideas! Most of the bugs are now taken care of, so I wanted to give a quick overview of what's new.
First of all, we have introduced something called myLot Code. This allows you to use special markup in your myLot posts, including bold text, italics and smileys! In order to reward our active users, this feature is available only to users with a user rating of 200 or more.
Next, you now have complete control over the email notifications that you receive from myLot. Go to "edit your preferences" and then click on the new Notifications tab. You can now specify the following:
subscribe to myLot digest
email me when someone responds to my discussions
email me when someone comments on my response
email me when someone sends me a friend request
email me when I receive a new referral
email me when myLot sends me an alert
email me when I am awarded a best response
email me when someone accepts my friendship request
email me when I receive a private message
I don't think that "email me when myLot sends me an alert" is working quite yet, but it should be functional soon.
Finally, we have also introduced myLot Flyers. A flyer is a special referral link that better enables you to promote myLot to new users. You will see the special Flyers link in the right rail of any interest page. When you click on the link, you are given a variety of different links to choose from to promote myLot and that interest. If someone signs up for myLot after clicking on a Flyers link, they are credited as your referral.
So basically, Flyers are a way for you to make more money by promoting myLot on your blog, MySpace page, etc. They are a work in progress, and you should expect to see further improvements in this area in the future.
That pretty much covers it for this upgrade! We'd like to thank the myLot community for all of the suggestions. Be on the lookout for more upgrades in the coming weeks and months!

It's latish here in the UK 
, so I will check out the Flyers tomorrow.
The options to turn emails of and on in such a detailed manner is also very welcome.

One thing that I only discovered when I went to post this is that only 3 MyLot Emotes are allowed per post!

This is working for me actually about 6 hours ago I was starting to getting notifications from my lot.. some things maybe missing but for the most part they are working fine or at least that is what I am seeing!

Is there a way to give more than one best response, because sometimes it is very difficult to choose just one, as two or three are just as good.

Thanks for informing us of these changes. I especially love italics, bold text & smilies. I can't quite see them yet? Maybe it is only for discussions, & not responses? Maybe I just need to refresh the page, or reboot?
Anyway, I will figure it out.

Fantastic news. I must say I am new and getting use to a lot of things, but mylot does try to keep their members happy

Is there a possibility the email notifications will again be in large enough print so we can actually see and read the email with ease? As it stands right now, it's a little too difficult to spend long periods of time on myLot because of the eyestrain the new upgrade causes.

this is uncanny. I just came to the site this morning to post some banners on my profile and to see what I could find in the way of banners for MyLot that I can post on my other sites. This is one improvement that could make a difference for me. Thank you.

Honestly, I think the only thing rolled out this upgrade that myLotters truly want is the text-prettying. 
Yet then again, we are so used to plain text already that it isn't terribly exciting in itself.
I find it strange though why the programming for discussions tends to get broken when myLot rolls out updates. For instance, I posted a discussion shortly after the upgrade was done. The site was working fine and I had been able to post responses fine enough.
But today, I realize that no one I asked had received the notification for my discussion. The big things are important but it is the small things that tend to eat away at our patience.

It brings convenience to us users, but if I am to be off line for a long period, like a month, there would be too many emails.
