Its finally official...

As of yesterday morning, the kids and I are now officially Permanent Residents of the U.S.A...we went for our interview thinking we'd ahve to wait a few weeks before we got our card...Instead however the guy asked me a couple of questions..stamped our passports right then and htere and within 30 mins we were in Canada goin for lunch and grabbing ciggies and ketchup chips I'm SO RELIEVED its finally over!! I'd not been back to Canada in 2 yrs and for the 2.5 yrs before that we'd only gone over a couple times so this is a HUGE thing for us...ONE LESS THING I'M WAITING FOR YAY!!!! Now we are planning our first official trip up north to see the kids poppa, visit their gramma and dads graves and see some friends Him stampnig our passports right then and there was a TOTAL shock but such a great thing to happen...Don't you just love suprises?

well, hello! and WELCOME!!! I do hope we do not let you down too many times in this great nation. If you have been desiring this transition for some time I imagine you are well relieved that it is finally over and done. yeee haw!

What a lovely surprise! And with all of the stress you've been under lately, it's about time too! You're starting to see the karma coming your way hon. Enjoy it! It's MUCH deserved! I don't recall having any big surprises like that recently. But my life has been pretty drama free for a while, so I'm just fine with that. lol.

wow! that's really a pleasant surprise, almost everyone wants to be residing in the US and even myself, i have always been looking for a way to get to work and live there so as to help my family here. its really a nice thing to hear that your application was granted and you can now call yourself an official US resident. von voyage. :)

Congrats!! I recently became a permanent resident in my new country too - It's such a reliefe to know that you can come and go as you need to :-). Enjoy your trip to Canada.

Surprises like that are always great! When we would cross the border into Mexico it wasn't bad but coming back to the US could be a nightmare and after 9/11 it was even worse.

Okay so call me dumb whatever but i didnt relize you would have to get a what is it a green card you got?.from moving from here to canada. canada doesnt seem that much of a diffrent country LMAO. i was really suprised to hear that lol...anyways i hope you have a wonderful trip and again congratx on the card:D
