Fine, Large, Old, Red, Spanish Leather, Slim, Riding Boots. I don't know if that makes sense, but I assumed they were made from Old Red Spanish Leather. lol. However, on reading it, it sounds odd! Brightest Blessings.

No, if they were made of red Spanish leather then the sentence would not require a comma between those adjectives. all the best urban

Lol... I put the commas in because I was taught, when listing a number of adjectives, nouns, or what have you, there should be a comma after each, to separate them. Is this not so?

Interesting; I never learned this as a convention but I have found that if I place them in the order that 'sounds right' to me, they are indeed in that order. I guess we learn the rule by practice. all the best urban

Nope. lol But it was a brain teaser for me in a way. I deal in language, but it's been eons since I had to really think about the proper order of so many adjectives. Grammer is not my fine point. I tend to write exactly how I hear it in my head, and that often breaks all the rules of good grammer, but not necessarily good writing, if you know what I mean. Thanks for the exercise. I enjoyed it.
