Pot luck party for old boss; need ideas

We are having a pot luck party for the old boss at work.
We can bring in anything, desert, appetizer or entree to share that day.
I am trying to come up with ideas. I thought about making a couple cheesecakes and bringing them in.
Anyone else have any good ideas?

Most of the time I will make pies and bring them. People really like my homemade pies and I try to bake them right before the potluck, so they are still warm when I arrive. This has helped me get pay raises in the past. I work for myself now.
If you don't have time to bake, then you might bring chicken wings, as many people enjoy eating them. One of my friends bring potato salad because its easy to make and is low cost. Sometimes she buys it already made at the store.
There are boxed mixes that you could use if you want it homemade, but don't have a lot of time. Occasionally, I have used one of them to make it look like I spent lots of time in the kitchen. The cherry cobbler is easy and fast to make.
