I am a religious person but not a fanatic why because i believe religion is something which should take grasp of the inner meaning of it rather than hearing something which some people preach.
I believe people should grasp the right inner meaning of the holy scriptures rather than hearing to a few people of the section.
I am not against preaching but to what extent, you can have their influence on you.

I think that you can be religious without going to a formal service on a regular basis.
I think that it is about what is in your heart and how you live your life.

You are absolutely right it all depends upon how we follow the good values present in the holy scriptures.

Hi choudhary, Unfortunately, I think religion does have something to do with going to a place of worship, that's why I don't consider myself religious. I am however a spiritual person, who may go to a place of worship at certain times. Religion has to do with dogmas, accepting what some religion tells you is right. As an example, there are still some Christians who insist on taking the Bible literally, while even the top Biblical scholars point out that many statements in the Bible are not in harmony with facts. They believe it because it is what their church tells them to believe. I think that we are all capable of judging for ourselves as to whether something is the word of God or not. There is much that is good in scriptures, but some is also too ridiculous to even be considered. You are right about the hidden meaning in the scriptures, and the more we study, the more we understand. Blessings.

I agree with the first response here. The word "religion" has such a negative meaning sometimes. I think that anyone can have their own beliefs and should not be told how to go about believing them. If you believe in any religion then as long as you live by whatever rules there are then it is not necessary to go to a place of worship. Some people might think they have to because it may say in their religious text and that is fine but if, for example, you are a Christian, then surely you can worship your God anywhere and shouldn't have to be told when and where.

I agree with you. It is the same we need to be true to our kids rather than pretending to be true. I worship god every where even if i am doing the wrong thing.
