My Daughter

As many of you know I have been away this Weekend as it is my Daughters 21st Birthday today (I feel old) Unfortunately I had to come back tonight
I am tired and in a lot of Pain which actually started last Night and with me driving I was not able to take a Pain killer
I had to come back tonight as I had a Phone call in the week to tell me my CT Scan is tomorrow morning at 10.15am They where not able to change it as they had squeezed me in
My Daughter had been very nervous about today as her Dad was there as well and she knows how I still feel with how he treated me she knows I am still bitter about it all
I promised her there would be no friction but I have to say I was worried myself as I am also still scared of him but I told myself I will be strong and not ruin her Day
Well I amazed myself, I was friendly to him and there was no fear at all no friction and no bitterness on my part
One of Mel's Work Colleague who looks out for Mel and who took Mel under wing (she is a 45 year old Lady and a wonderful Person) obviously knew that Mel was worried as Mel talks a lot to her about things, which I don't mind I am grateful that this Lady is there for my Girl, said to me, Gabs I don't know why you stayed so long with him, I admire you how well you have got through this today and she can honestly say that I have 2 wonderful Children, who take after me, loving caring, well mannered and well behaved, she said that she also knows that I was the one always there for them as Mel had told her this
She also said that she admires me for a lot of things that Mel has told her about me and how I had coped in the Marriage, she had also watched me with my Son who at this moment is going through hell and a broken Heart, I will tell about this tomorrow
After she said all this my Girl said, I have the best, understanding loving Mum in the world and Angie said to her yes you have and she is beautiful inside and out, I have only known this Lady since last Night but she said to Mel that my Beauty from the inside shines through
I was actually embarrassed lol I am not used to People saying things like that to me, Angie told me when I left, that she would like to keep in contact with me as she liked me as soon as she met me I said of course we will and I thanked her for keeping my Girl close to her heart and for helping my Son today
All in all my Baby Girl had a great 21st Birthday and she hugged me, told me that she loves me so much and thanked me for a great Day
Anyone who does not know, I love my Kids more then anything and they are my world, they are the most loving Children any Mum could have
I am proud of them very proud

Angel I am so glad I managed to see this before I logged off as I was worrying about you all weekend! I am glad that everything went well and that your lovely daughter had a good time! I know I wished her an early Hapy Birthday on Friday but I was going to call today and sing to her but
1 My voice is still playing up (and I know Gissi isn't laughing)
2 I didn't want to intrude on your plans so I thought better of it!
Anyway where is my text or call telling me you were home safe and sound - you weren't just supposed to do that on Friday ou know!
Nothing Angie says comes as a surprise Angel - I already know all of that!
Will speak to you tomorrow , if not before the scan then you definitely have to phone me after to let me know how things went ok?

Oh sorry Sweetie I just rang Mel done the Discussion took Pain Killer and went to bed
You should have rang her you would not have intruded never ever say that do you hear me Sweetheart
I am sorry for not letting you know I was home, my mind was still with Mike as well

Gaby, I am so sorry you are hurting, and had to come back early. Congratulations on continuing to be the bigger person in this situation. I wonder if so many difficult emotions contributed to today's pain. I think it is so good that you and Mel have this great friend, and I am sure it gives you confidence, even if you are away from the kids.

I´m glad your daughter´s birthday was a success. It must have been hard for you to be nice to your ex-husband.
I´m sure that everything that Angie said about you is right :-))
It must have been so comforting for you to listen to such kind words and to hear the lovely things your daughter said about you.
I know that you´ve got a difficult day ahead of you, but maybe remembering that you´ve gained a new friend will help you through it.

Phew I was right worried about you sweetheart, I knew you had a big day tomorrow and when I didn't see you around I thought the worst! Sorry (blushes deeply) I worry about you, but I guess you already know. I am very proud of you and your children are lucky to have such a wonderful wonderful mum and I also include Gissi as one of your children. Happy belated bday to your daughter.You're not old its truly a blessing.It's beautiful that you have a close and loving family.The kind words ms lady said to are so lovely.For someone meeting you for the first time that sure does mean alot!!!

am so glad you had such a good day for MEl.
and that this lady has took her under her wing I do think it is helping Mel .
and sounds like it is helping you too.
Of cource your beauty shines thro I havent seen ya eye to eye but we would have never got as far as we did if you werent loveing and giving as you have gave so much thro the years we have know one another.
Am so proud of you handling the situation with him being there good gal showing no fear pat on the back!
about time to . maybe this shows him ya really dont care any more huh?
am praying for you about the scan. it is probably over with as I write this .

Oh Gabs, that wasn't about your daughter, that was all about you....lol. How very lucky both your children are to have such a thoughtful loving wonderful mother as yourself.
You went to celebrate Mels 21st birthday and came away with a new friend who obviously admires you and thinks the world of you.
It's hard to say who is the luckiest...mel for having a wonderful Mum like you and a good friend like Angie; you for having such a lovely daughter and admiring new friend or Angie for having both you and Mel as friends.

You did good gabs, facing your ex, and you put your feelings aside for the day because it was your daughter's 21st and he was there too. I am so proud of you that you didn't let it ruin your daughter's day, because she must have been apprehensive. You handled it very well, and I am so proud of you!

Aww Gabs you did'nt warn you needed tissue to read your blog !!! Nothing can beat those hugs are children give us no matter how old they are and the love we share with them is like no other, good luck for tomorrow and try and gets some rest and sleep cause i know you have a long journey, and if Gissi see's your uptight you know you will be plsying cat and dog with him tomorrow. I must say that you provided your daughter the type of day that I am sure she deserved and you were a strong tower as well. It sounds as though your ex husband was mean and hurtful and I believe that by acting as you did, you proved to yourself and your children that you are a caring person and that you can rise above your circumstances.
We don't know you, but we can get a lok inside of you by these stories.

Gabs I have only been on My Lot actually posting for about a month now, but I do so enjoy your posts. I am glad you had a good visit, and that all was peaceful, for your daughters sake. I hope the CT Scan goes well, I will have to go back to your older post and see what is going on. I kmow the things Angie said must have made you feel very special, and from what I have read you do have a sweet spirit. It sounds like maybe Angie has a little more interest in you than a friend, hummm? Just a thought, LOL. Anyway thought I would throw that in and give you a chuckle. Blessings to you.

Oh Gabs! That's wonderful that the party turned out the way it did! And you know what? You ARE a wonderful person and mother to your kids! It's obvious that they love you very much! You're so good to them and always have been. Hugs to you my dear friend! Tell Gissi I said arf! arf! lol

Glad to hear you had such a nice weekend with your daughter, but its a shame that you were in so much pain, hope you go on ok at the hospital. It sounds like your children adore you and that is a wonderful thing, and if you are beautiful inside and out then others will see it so although you might not feel comfortable with being told this, as I would not, be proud of yourself because the same cannot be said for everyone.

Sounds like you have a great daughter. It also sounds like you are a wonderful, loving and caring mom. I am so happy that your daughter had a nice 21st birthday and it was happy for both of you.
Don't feel old, it is only a state of mind.
