I enjoy watching this cooking show. What would you like to see them cook? I would like to see them make fruit dishes. Many times the dishes are to high in fat and calories for me to consider eating them.
The recent pizza dishes was an example of to many calories and fat. Some of the pizzas were just covered in a lot of cheese and sauce. I realize many people love pizza and aren't concerned about the fat grams.

my wife make her own pizza as she is a great cook..it was a very good pizza but it had a lot of pepperoni and cheeses..and I am on a diet too and lost 30 pounds since Dec. 3rd. Sometimes to get off a plateau and kick your metabolism you need the carbs and food that stimulate the weight to go away..if you are on a plateau and can't seem to lose just change your exercise routine and also give yourself a boost with a day off from your diet and you will not only enjoy the taste of your favoriate foods but it will actually cause your body to lose more weight..but only for one or two days..and then go back to eating good...you should not deprive yourself from pleasure as this is only going to make you go on a YO YO diet ..

My daughter loves these cooking shows. She is 11 ~ its funny her favorite is Rachel Ray and Challenge (when they are baking cakes or candy). I laugh at her… I say to her numerous times--- do you want to try to make that dish this week (from one Rachel Ray is making). I always get the answer…. Yuk mom, it looks pretty but I wouldn’t eat it. So I know what you mean. Although the pizza one sounds really yummy to me… lot’s of cheese- loaded with toppings- and saucy! That is my kind of meal!
I’m the type of person who likes my fruit—plain and boring… wash it and eat it! Once you bake it and start doing odd things with it- count me out. It takes away from the nutritional value. I would like to see more “simple meals”… quick and easy… or how about- meals that take 5 ingredients or less for the entire meal… That way I’m almost sure to have the ingredients! Just a thought.

I like the idea of an episode with 5 ingredients, as its one that would really help people at home make a quick meal. I have never watched Rachel Ray will have to check her out. Thanks for the reply.

I try to watch what I eat, but every so often I spluge on treats like pizza or chocolate. Personally, I think that unless you have health issues (such as dibetes or severe obesity), people at least in America worry too much about their waist lines. Food is supposed to fun!!

I agree food should be fun and many times people do worry more than they should about what they eat. I'm more concerned after losing a friend to a heart attack and her doctor told her to lose weight and eat healthier.
Thanks for the reply. I'm glad to see shows on cooking.

Which cooking show are you referring to? I enjoy watching cooking shows too.
There are two in Channel ten in Adelaide that I sometimes watch.
I also would prefer cooking shows where they demonstrate recipes for low fat meals. Or low cholesteral meals.
Once last year I saw a great chicken recipe on a TV cooking show so I rang up & got it.

I watch Top Chef every week and they made pizza and selected a dish from several choices. This week I watched Ultimate Recipe Showdown, which was the Italian Dishes.
I'm always looking for low fat chicken recipes, as its the meat we eat several times a month. Thanks for posting.

I used to love watching the cooking shows when I had television! but I seemed to watch them rather than putting the information to use...
I would have liked to have seen more practical applications - things to be found in the ordinary home.... we can not afford to go out and buy special ingredients that will only be used once and the rest stays in the cabinet to spoil.
I also would like to see a show dedicated to dietary restrictions - maybe do a week for the diabetic, a week for the gluten sensitive, a week for the fat conscious - and then rotate them so that it comes back to diabetic week every so often, etc. I think this would appeal to the general public more.

I have been watching HGTV a lot lately as I am getting sick and tired of watching FNC and all their propaganda they are shovelling out to the masses who, like me, were soaking in like a spongee.
HGTV has no agenda, except to help you sell your home or re decorate your home. That is a show I can watch without an bias.
Oh, I also watch Little House...And Griffith...

I'm a fan of the last two shows you listed. I have watched HGTV and saw a great episode about pond building, which was clear and easy to follow. I'll admit there are so many shows promoting certain products, which I understand the network needs to make money. Thanks for the reply.
