Three meals in a row!!!

Hubby and I both work full time, but I get home before he does because I only have to drive 8 minutes to work and he drives a little over an hour... Anyway, this weekend, I was busy sewing and doing laundry on Saturday, so hubby made spaghetti with meatballs for dinner! It was really good, and I definitely appreciated not having to stop what I was doing to make dinner. We then decided that we'd have homemade pizza for lunch after church on Sunday. I buy frozen pizza dough that comes in a ball, so I had it all thawed out and ready for after church. While I was changing clothes and putting a few things away, dh made the pizza! It was delicious!!! THEN, I decided we'd have chicken bites and french fries for dinner, so I got the chicken out of the freezer to thaw. While I was in the basement folding laundry and starting another load, he put it all in the oven!!! Three meals in a row! That is definitely a record for him! Believe me I told him repeatedly how grateful I was that I didn't have to cook! It is usually very rare that he cooks anything at all, so for him to do it 3 times in a row is a miracle! lol! Does your husband cook for you a lot?

I am not married, so I am the one who cooks every meal. It is ok by me though. I like to cook. I think it is great that your husband decided to help cook for a change. Maybe he will do it more often now that he knows how much you appreciate it.

Yes, as a matter of fact he cooks for me all the time. I try to help him but he always tells me that he wants to do it becase he loves and cares a lot about me. I feel lucky to have a man that cooks and who enjoys it. Most men don't like to cook unless its a cookout, but my husband is one of the best, he always comes up with new ideas. He never burns the food, he never complains and he loves it.

You are very lucky indeed! Unfortunately, hubby does burn things, and he's not the best at cleaning up after himself! lol! But that's okay as long as he helps once in a while.

my hunny can't cook at all... but he does all the dishes for me after the meal... we divide the work in our house as well... i do the laundry, he does the ironing... i do the sweeping and moping, he does the vacumming... and so on... both of us are working full time... so we have to divide the chores to be even...

yes, my hubby and i both work and he makes all the meals! our daughters do the dishes afterwards and i handle the laundry! (we divide the rest of the house that way too!) by the time we get home from church on sundays it is about 1, so egg salad or grilled cheese are our sunday lunch staples.

No, my hubby does not like to cook. He'd rather buy or order food than cook. It's not because he is lazy or doesn't care but cooking is just not his thing. He can do almost anything in the house except cooking. It's I who cooks all the time, prepares his coffee and snacks. He hates all cooking stuff but he's always beside me, whenever I prepare his food. Though he is not actually cooking, his company made my cooking experience always a pleasent one.

My husband loves to cook. We often do not have meals together, as we have lots of work to work around. I am trying to get him to remember that cooking at home is much tastier than eating out, and the impact on our budget is phenomenal. We try to plan meals together, and we pretty well share all of the duties around here. I am glad you are getting to enjoy the partnership, because it sounds as if you were plenty busy while he cooked, and I think he knew it too. it is always good to say thanks, though when things are done for us.

Oh you are very lucky in that and make sure he knows you appreciate it. Maybe that way he will do it more often :) I'm not married but our brother is living with my sister and I right now. I can count on one hand how many times he has cooked in the last year let alone done anything else about the house. Long story on why he's here and what not and not worth getting into but over all I'd say your hubby sounds a 1000 times better.

He would do, but I am terribly possessive about my kitchen and who cooks in it! I remember when I had a hysterectomy and I had no choice but to let him do it all! I have always been the one to cook throughout my whole life and so I guess it is just a hard habit to break and let someone else do it!
