Has anyone ever used Z-Trim?

I hear that Z-trim tastes just like real sugar, but it's really expensive. I am wondering if anyone has used it for cooking and baking? Does it really taste like sugar even after cooking? I want to try it, but it's so expensive and I haven't seen it in really small packages.

Do you mean Xylitol? Because Z-trim is a fat substitute, not a sugar substitute:

I've used that fat-substitute make from prunes in partial replacement for some baked goods, like muffins for instance, but Z-trim is supposed to be a lot more versatile. I haven't tried the Z-trim yet, but the above link makes it sound quite appealing. We don't use a lot of fat in cooking anyway, but it sounds like a great way to enjoy healthier salad dressing.
Xylitol is delicious and works great as a healthy sugar replacement, too. It is functionally equivalent to Birch Sugar, but the kind made with corn tastes just as good for a fraction of the price I buy it online for a reasonable price from Emerald Forest Xylitol.

This is actually a sugar, I've seen it at our local health food store. It has the same label as Z-trim, but it's a sweetener. I've even seen it on TV. Maybe it's not actually Z-trim. I know it's expensive, $12 a pound last time I checked.
If it's a fat substitute, I don't know if I really want it.

Thanks! You know, I'll look at the label and see what it is. It's kept in the sugar isle with the cooking things. I know that Z-trim makes a powder.
