Speaking examtion

Next week i'm going to attend the speaking examation, now i don't have any idea about it, my teacher asked us to wrote a draft first, now i almost have done my draft, but i still nervouse about it. I worry about my grammar and pronunciation.can you give me some ideas?

So what did you write in your draft? Will you post it here or are you not allowed to? What will you be speaking about? I don't envy you at all. I always get nervous when I have to speak, especially if it is something I am not familiar with. I will help if I can. What you might want to do is after you get the grammar checked, practice saying it while reading it to make sure you have the words right and then practice without reading it until you can say it so it sounds natural. This is my draft: Yao Ming is one of the best basketball player in the world. he was born on 8th of september in 1980, his parents were basketball player, he received the first basketball in his life when he was 4 years old. He has known NBA since he was 6 years old. When he was 9 years old he came into a sport school received basketball training. All of his parents were basketball player, so he showed his basketball genius when he was teenager. When he was 15 years old he came into Shang Hai Teenager Basketball Team, after 2 years he came into National Teenager Basketball Team. He came into National Team when he only was 18 years old. In 2002, he was chosed by Houston Rocket in NBA, he became third chinese who play in NBA. Then he came into new condition of his profession life. He has been growing up in the NBA since he came into this league, he has join ALL STAR GAME since the second year when he came into the NBA. Now he almost become the best center in the NBA. In Chinese national team he also is a key play, In 2000 he attend the Sydney Omlypic Game. In 2003 he leaded Chinese national team won the Asia Basketball Championship and got the ticket of the Athens Olympic Game.Now his prepareing for BeiJing Omlypic Game. I think he can help China get a amazing achievement.

A few suggestions: in the first line--one of the best players were both of his parents basketball players? further down you say "all of his parents" were basketball player. my question to you is "how many parents does he have?" It might be better to say both instead. then you say "he was chosed" you should say chosen You have some good information there and I didn't know any of it. I guess I'm approaching this from a teacher's standpoint, but if you want excellence then small things matter. Not to worry, you are doing fine!!! Good luck!!!
