How important is an apreciation to you?

Bala, you are welcome. I feel acknowledging the warmth of friendship is very important towards cementing it. And you do it all the time. Thanks Bala for being a wonderful friend. Appreciation is very important to me. I feel, it acts as an incentive that gets me going. "You are beautiful', "You are a great person', 'You are a great asset to our industry".....this kind of praise certainly motivates one to work with more vigor. I accept appreciation in all humility and do not really bask in the glory.

Doesn't take much to drop a word of thanks of appreciation and appreciation goes along way, it makes you feel good, it makes you feel wanted, and you know the things that you do are being appreciated and enjoyed by others, it's a sign that you are doing things right and making others happy. If someone takes the time and effort to appreciate me in any way it makes me feel so much better in myself and it gives me a lift and satisfaction. Everyone needs and wants to feel appreciated.

it is important for me to do better in everything i come across with... or it helps me keep going to know that someone at least 1 person appreciates me and what i do. We humans crave to be appreciated. i think we all deserved to be anyway.

It is very inspiring to me. i feel more motivated to do quality work. i get it very less although i think i desrve more. But i never beat my drum to get appreciation. i keep quite.

I'm glad that you feel that way, bala, though I don't think you have to worry too much about doing anything to damage your place here. I think you're pretty secure in our thoughts and affections. I care about whether my friends appreciate me or not. I don't really worry about appreciation from the world beyond that, but it means a lot to me when my friends show appreciation. Tonight I feel very loved because I'm on a bit of a poetry kick, and many of my friends have been encouraging me on it.

You are very welcome. I feel appreciated alot here also by the nice comments from my friends. I have felt badly also a few times from some of the members here, but not many. I am thankful to all of my good friends here also.

Is nice to feel appreciated by friends and there is no greater feeling than to feel motivated to be part of a group. Most people in my lot are wonderful and I thank God everyday that I found a special forum like this to be able to express myself without reservations. We might come from different worlds ,but we are very much alike in many things.

I feel the same way. I feel like I am learning, teaching, being entertained, entertaining, appreciating others and having others appreciate me. I try to protect the relationships I have developed here by being careful not to offend...even if I disagree with one of my friend's opinions. This place gives me a little bit more confidence every day when I see that what I have to say is appreciated and even worthy of the occasional "Best Response". This place is really good for my ego!

I like people who appreciate things you have done for them, no amount of material things could quantify that since it makes the appreciated person happy.
