What an interesting news! I would have never dreamed that something I lost 38 years ago would be found and return to me. But, this guy proved that sometimes you do get back the things that you have lost for a very long time. Brakke reported the car stolen to Burbank police in May 1970. One month later, a Long Beach teenager named Judy Smongesky received the car as a high school graduation gift from her father, who had bought it at a Bellflower used car dealer. Smongesky, who now lives in San Diego, said Thursday she had been driving and maintaining the car for nearly four decades, and only learned that it had been stolen when she recently prepared to sell it. San Diego police verified the car was hot. What do you think of that? Read more: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/odd_mustang_reunion;_ylt=Am5JyKLpGQRJyohWXOwBiAHtiBIF

The car is in pretty good shape, too, from what I've seen. The guy was supposed to come out yesterday to look at it, but decided to cancel his appointment. They're trying to work out some kind of arrangement between them. I find it amazing that anyone would keep a car for 38 years in such good condition, too. The car looks like it's a 1965 or 1966 Mustang, too, which makes it even older. It probably would have sold for a good amount if she sold it. I think she should work it out with the legal owner to share the profits from any sale they make.

You are right especially when the car was properly maintained by the other person.
