chatting and being ignored

Honestly how do you feel when you are chatting with someone than they all of a sudden ignore you... You have no idea what you did wrong or said.. than when you leave and come back after a bit they don't say anything to you and that happens for a few days... What would you do if this happened to you?
I am only asking because when I talk to someone that claimed wouldn't ever ignore me and get upset at me (giggles) cause I know that's not true... He's been doing this for a few days however he will say hi to me in the room but that's it when I try to talk to him in IM he totally ignores what I have to say... What would you do in a matter like this? Not to mention I really thought this person was my friend and wouldn't be like this towards me.... Whats your oppions on this...

That is very sad to hear..I would suggest asking him if you did anything to offend him and if you did, to please tell you..If you didn't do anything then he should explain it has nothing to do with you and that he is sorry for ignoring you..That way you will at least know if you maybe said something wrong...which I doubt...*smiles*..Other than that I would just wait awhile and see what happens....It sure would drive me batty if this happened...good luck...

Thank you Feona actually earlier today I sent him a text asking him if I did something wrong and I did get a answer back, It didn't seem like he was in his reply that I did anything wrong but the ignoring part he didn't say anything about.. Actually it was drive me batty knowing that I knew I didn't do anything and for him to do that just made me wonder... So i did get something back!! Thanks Feona for your reply!!

I just move on. I have had that done to me several times by people online. Some people just do not care if the hurt others feelings by ignoring them. they act like your friend and talk bad about you later also. I have had that done to me alot. They act friendly and change overnight.

I am not like that though I just don't give up on people that I've known for a long time...When I make friends online they are for now until when ever.. I know some people are like that though.. There are some people that have talked bad about me I've seen it but the saddest thing is when people ask me about it, I tell the truth and make the person who talk look even worse.. I don't hide anything and I for sure don't give up on friends no matter where I go online... that's a real friend!!!

I give up on them because I have been treated like crap by people in my real life, all of my life and I sure don't have time to be treated like that from someone I have met online. If they cannot be friendly and honest from the start with me, i will not waste my time on them. I wouldn't do that to them and if they do it to me, it is not my friend to begin with. that is how I see it and it has been seen to be true in my life.

I will just forget him/her...hahahha..thats true, of all the things I don't like to be ignored. I will understand if he/she is busy, not interested to talk, have some problems or whatever his reasons are, I will accept it as long as I will be told why!If not, then its time to say bye bye and I will not take any effort to contact and talk to him/her again! not until he/she can provide me valid reasons for ignoring me several times!

I never did get a reason why so That is why i did say bye to the person, I felt there were many other people online that would be more than happy to talk to me no matter what and know that I wouldn't ignore them as i hope they wouldn't me...

Sometime we encounter some rejection in life in our daily basis. I have expercience that kind of rejection. I have been rejecting when I want to be friend with someone over the net. That maybe rude, but I cant force someone to be my friends. Maybe that is how life goes.

Oh I can't agree more with you there.. The funny thing is, is that people end up passing the best thing and than later end up coming back to it... however by the time they do it's to late the person has already moved on.. Thanks for your reply!

I am sick and tired of being disappointed every time I think I've found an online friend and then they turn out not to be as interesting or interested as I thought they were. It's pretty hard for me to resist the urge to 'hurt them back', and sometimes I do lash out with a cutting remark or two, but really it's not their fault that they were not the 'kindred spirit' that I had hoped they were. But I definitely do not take it personally, and neither should you!

I hear you there, As a matter of fact i've been chatting with someone for a bit here and recently he's been doing that to me not in chat but in phone text.. I really don't know what his deal is and it made me say a few choice words that now I feel bad about so I had to go ahead and apologies to him cause I felt bad for doing it to him.. But yet at the same time, being and feeling ignored isn't a very good feeling.. Thanks for your comment

Well I used to have dial-up and my connection tended to terminate unexpectedly lots of times. However, upon my return I would apologize to whomever I was chatting with and carry on the conversation, not ignore the person.
I'd be mad if someone all the sudden ignored me if we'd been chatting for awhile, without even giving any explanation especcially!

that happens quiet often while using dial up connections. it happened also to me. the guy at the other end would be wondering what happened all of a sudden.
usually, when i get back to chat, i apologize. and tell them the issue. if they are not convinced, i dont care that much. occasionally, i have ignored people while chatting. i usually dont do that. if the other person is so horrible and is eating your brain, probably you dont have any other go.

hi Chiyosan that actually happens to me all the time.. It seems they are bored until there g/f's show up and than it's like ok got to go and they still there not to mention in the room on cam typing away.. Humm it is offending that's for sure.. I guess they just want someone to un bore them until there other half shows up.. Very annoying that's for sure...

If someone did that to me I would be really cross! I would try to talk to them for so long and then if they ignored me then I just would not bother anymore and not even say hi to him or anything, its just really ignorant. Especially when you consider them as a friend and they suddenly just turn their back on you. Maybe if you ignore him a while he might not like it and then come try talking to you again.

I have been thinking about doing that...Actually just staying away from chat for a few days.. He does know how to contact me if he really wants to talk to me.... I am crushed... I never thought someone I considered a friend could be so rude... Thanks for your reply and your oppion that means alot!

I hate the people who ignores me when I speak to him. When the people ignores me, I'll very angry with him or her, and then, I'll tell the people I'm unhappy and the reasons. Usually, the people will apologize to me, and then I'll forgive him or her.

They do apologize but it still don't make it right... I mean if you were to do something wrong they should at least say it and not ignore you for it.. Right? I know I do when I'm upset with someone and they ask why I will tell them... I feel that is the right thing to do in my oppion... Thanks for your reply reply!

well it also happens on me also i feel kinda upset when i talk to her and she doesn't even talk to me at all. i feel stupid lol if she don't want to talk to me then fine lol i won't talk to her either but if i've done something wrong i would definitely approach and talk to her

Oh me too, I'd be like what's your problem lol well not in those exact words but if I were doing or saying something wrong I'd for sure what to know.. Most of the time it's oh nothing...
