Do you read the nutrition labels on items you buy? Are you concerned about the products in the food you buy? Do you know what all that stuff is? Should we know what's in the food we eat?

I have food sensitivities and allergies, so I almost always read the food labels. I mostly look at the sodium and sugar levels on a product. But, I generally know most of the ingredients on the label, too, especially all the names for sugar and salt. I mostly eat a whole-foods diet, anyway, and buy only whole-grain packaged products.

I do look at the nutrition labels. I looked at the oreo cookie cake nutrition label and said wow. You definitly would not want to eat it and go to sleep when your on a diet.

I learned many years back to try and buy most of the food we eat from the 'outer isles'. If I have to buy things that are in boxes or cans, I check them out. We're very cautious about the things inside the food that aren't good, especially for people with health issues. Thanks desert.....

Yes, I read labels and am concerned about what most of our food has in it..Which is why I love the warmer weather, I can grow my own vegetables and have me own berry bushes..

it is necessary to read what's indicated in the label before purchasing certain foods in the supermarket. with all that harmful chemicals being added to the goods we buy during preparation we really need to pay extra care in choosing. i suggest that we read its content and the nutrition information to see what nutrient we can get upon eating that food and how many cholesterol that food has. it is also a good way to know whether that food is good for us or not.

That's right djmarion. It's surprising how many people don't bother. I read them all.

I always read the nutrition labels. If it has high fructose corn syrup, I will usually not buy it. The same with MSG and all it's other names. I also look for the fiber content in the bread I guy and try for at least 3g per slice. I am definitely concerned with what we buy. ...whit

I can't ever remember just buying things cause we liked them. Of course, back then, we didn't have to worry so much about it.
