I firmly believe in asprin or naproxin. Tylenol doesn't do anything for me, actually seems to make things worse so I won't take it.

Both actually. I started taking presciption naproxin and sometimes I'd get headaches anyway. I asked the doctor, because the script says to not take asprin with it, but he knew I wouldn't abuse using the asprin since I was using asprin before the naproxin to control the pain. He allowed that I could take some since naproxin won't help a headache IF you are already taking it for something else.

You are right. When you get headache, you feel miserable to function. There is a club in USA called THOUSAND HEADACHE CLUB. It examines various means and ways to get rid of headaches. Headaches generally come for various reasons: 1. When food is not properly taken on time 2. When one works in hot sun 3. when things do not go as you like 4. When you meet someone you dislike and they keep talkiin! 5. Improper digestion 6. Stress and Strain 7. Due to eye problem, streneous reading likes wise. I used to get headache almost everyday. Now everything is organized and I do drink 2 to 3 litres of water everyday and that helps to remove lot of toxic from thebody and keep the body in good condition.

Yes, good question. Normal pure drinking water - 2 litres in the morning and 1 litre during the course of the day and definitely not the coke or similar stuff. Just pure water and when you consume a lot of oily food, it is even better for health if you can drink hot water (luke warm). This is a japanese therapy it is doing a lot good. One will be cheeful throughout the day, until one retires, just by consuming good quantity of water. Keep your head cool, so that headaches can be occasional and not intermittant. Timely food is another important thing. Most youngsters due to busy schedule and over-enthusiastic work, stay at workpalce for longer than required and that fatigue may cause some headache. It is better to relax now and then in a day and one will be rigorous and recharged.

Hello dear plumwish. I am so sorry that you were suffering from headache. I also have this case happen sometimes while I am working. The only way I can get rid of it is to take one or two capsules for cold. It helps me a lot, but I need to take it immediately once my headache comes, otherwise I will have to take two capsules and will find it hard to go on working agin, but go home to sleep on bed. Hope you will be well soon.

Please check out my old post... http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1254209.aspx I've found out that it works for all headaches except allergy headaches, so I never have headaches anymore, unless our neighbors burn in their fireplace. My daughters also do this, and their headaches are gone, too.

I think that you must take the B-complex, the B-2 and the magnesium all together, so maybe it balances out... my daughters and I have all been LOSING weight lately, maybe because we feel better and happier, so we do more activities. Its worth a try! None of it can hurt you if you take just one of each. If it doesn't work in a few weeks, it still hasn't cost as much as those other headache medicines! I'd rather not have a headache, than to have one and try to get rid of it! Take care!

I hate headaches too, I do not get them very often, but when I do they hurt so much I feel sick and they last all day, no matter how many tablets you take. I find sometimes that a cold wet flannel eases it a lot, and massaging your head where your temples are. Just very gently, it can take it away sometimes for a little while. Other than that I take the strongest painkilkers I can find!

Thankfully, I seldom get them. But when I do, yikes! I actually make an essential oil blend that also helps with migraines. It is a combination of lavendar, spike lavendar, peppermint and a base oil of sunflower. I have several friends that use it too. Thing is, you have to be careful with lavendar if pregnant. Also, just because something is natural doesn't mean you can't be allergic, so be careful. Now, quite by accident I found something else that helps. I have one of those massage cushions that goes around your neck. I tilted it to where it cradles the back of my head and supports my neck still. Oh my, it helped a great deal. Okay inventors, now that we know this, someone make a scallop shaped massage cushion that cradles the back of the head and supports the neck. I'd buy one.

Sweetie, I assure you, I didn't really understand how lavendar could be harmful to pregnancy either. But a few of my books indicate just that. Most of them do not show any health issue indications. One states that it helps to establish menstrual regularity. Hence, better to be safe than sorry.

I would just usually not do anything if i feel a terrible headache. my first solution is always a complete rest. if i am at work and i get sudden pains of headache, i would just close my eyes for a while, sometimes it could just be too much light.

could you do that if you working in office? to close your eyes a while and get nothing light?

I hate it when I have a headache also. I usually do not get them but when I do it hurts and it will not go away even if I go lay down for a while. I work seven days a week online and if I get a headache, I have to take pills for it. I hate to but have to. I used to never get a headache but recently I have got severe ones that move all over my head. I think I had an inner ear infection when that was happening though.

I get them all the time too and I thought it was because I didn't have my coffee fix for the day LOL yes I'm a coffeeholic. I just read poster #1's responses and I think some of those are the reasons why it happens. I try to sleep it off mostly and if it gets bad then I take tylenol and that seems to clear it. I prefer to sleep it off first!

I don't get headaches very often but when I do they are migraines and they hurt really bad. I had to go to the doctor and get a prescription because tylenol just would not help any at all.

Just relax when you get headache dear! It may be due to many reasons. May be tension and stress are too much, which causes you headache. Also get your blood pressure checked up. Headahe occurs due to high blood pressure too. It your headache is persistent, you need to consult your physician. Try taking long breath for few minutes, when you feel headache. You will be alright soon. Donot worry.

Usually carry headache medicine on you. Either a small bottle, or travel size versions of the medicine will serve you well. Cut back on salts in your diet and increase your intake of fruits and vegetables (vitamin C plus the B complex can help out here). If you wake up with a headache sometimes, maybe before you sleep try not to tuck in too much (or worse completely cover your full self under the blankets). This is to help you breath better, and cut off that source of headache. Note that this will only work some of the time. If the headache stems from stress or another physical aliment, then this won't really help.

we really need to know the reason behind your headache.it might be due to stress, cold, anxiety, depression etc.. Any way for normally when i get head ache i just drink water and sleep for some time.I would also make sure that my stomach is full so that i can relax.Dont go for meds as this only require you to relax and close your eyes. from http://trainyourmind.blogspot.com
