If we start makeing our on gas here, They can keep thier oil over there. We plant enough grain here in the US that we can make our own fuel. maybe that will bring the price of gas down to where we can afford to go on vacation , are back and forth to work. Maybe take the family out for a drive together. What do you think about this?

I think the problem with that is that it will affect the cost of a lot of other things if we do that. Things like corn, and corn products. There are some places that are already seeing a big increase in wheat. I think that we definatly need to rid out dependance of foreign oil, all oil for that matter since it is non renewable, but I think we need to look past grain and find a more practical renewable resource.

I think the price of gas will never go now, and I think some good will come of it. We will start to conserve. If it is cheaper to ride a bike to work then to drive, then that is what we will do. (At least I hope) Hopefully before gas gets up to 6 bucks a gallon people will start to find different ways to work and other places they need to go, and the USA will improve there public transit system! Perhaps created more bike routes. Start creating for fuel efficient cars, I am talking 200-500 miles per gallon! The technology there is there, it only takes that first push, I hope this is it.

Your right about the technology it is there. are mabe an electric car. I would not like to have to ride a bike to work. I have to drive 26 miles one way. I hope your are about the price of gas getting to 6 bucks a gallon. That made my wallet hurt.
