DWTS: Priscilla Prestley's face a result of a phony cosmetic doc!

Okay so I have noticed that all the discussions lately on Dancing with the stars everyone is mentioning Pricilla's face. How it looks so fake and that she can't smile at all. I for one can't stand to look at her face because it looks so bad. Well a friend and I were talking about it and she told me that she just heard that the reason Pricilla's face is the way it is, is because of a $400(approx.) facial injection scam she fell for. At first I couldn't believe that. I mean who would go get a $400 facial injection, when they have millions and could go to a very well respected doctor. So, I went and searched the internet and found an article explaining it all. Apparently it was a guy from Argentina, who wasn't even a licensed doctor and was injecting a silcone based lubricant that is used on cars into the faces of his victims. Now that I know this. I kind of feel bad for her. She is supposedly going to have corrective surgery to fix it. But until that is done, she has to live with her face the way it is. In fact she can't smile! I just can't figure out why she would still want to do the show with her face looking like that. Here is a link to the article: http://www.tmz.com/2008/03/24/priscilla-presley-injured-by-phony-cosmetic-doc/11

Now that I know that, I do feel sorry for her. However, I am not a fan of those people that go for any kind of "facial fix". I know why celebrities do it as they age, but Pricilla is not exactly an Academy Award winning actress. Heck, she isn't a performer at all. She wants to look the same age as her daughter? I just think we should keep healthy and grow old gracefully. Ask those actresses who look twenty years younger than they are and have had no work done and they will tell you it's a result of healthy living - no drinking, no smoking, exercise and lots of water. Again, I feel bad she got botched and will be happy to see that she gets it fixed. But going in for cosmetic treatments always have risks. I don't think I will ever even colour my hair. But then, maybe I won't have to.

You are truly right. There are so many other ways that you can look younger with out having to have surgery or botox.

I agree with you there. And also, I dont' know much about this kind of thing, but just common sense, doesn't $400 for a facial lift of whatever kind, see like a bit cheap? I have heard this kind of thing is expensive. Plus, how did she not know he wasn't licensed? And I don't think that the most expensive is always the best, but generall speaking..just sounds rather cheap. I go to a regular doctor and always look at his license and diplomas on the walls. Granted they could be fake, but then again, I always choose out of insurance directory and i wouldn't think they'd allow non licensed doctors to be part of their network. I just think that this is something that should be looked into very well considering all the botched ones, even some one like me that couldn't care less about it all, hears about. This is your face for crying out loud!

I guess I will stop making fun of her since she didn't choose to look like that. I understand that she chose to let the quack inject her, that just makes her gullible. Hopefully, a credible and accredited doctor will be able to fix her. I can't imagine being stuck like that forever.

I kinda feel bad making fun of her as well. I sure hope they can fix her face. That would really suck having to be stuck like that forever and not being able to smile.

i feel bad for her... but still, i think she is not smart enough to let anybody just injected something that she doesn't really know into her face... i would never let anybody do that to me... i have to check the doctor's credibility first before i allow him to do cosmetic surgery on my face... it is better to be safe than sorry nowadays...

Very good point. If it had been me, I would have done a back ground check on the guy and I would have looked into the injection a little more.

She has been on several entertainment shows talking about her face. Personally, I am glad she is making other people aware that can't afford to get the information that it can happen to anyone rich or poor. I don't feel sorry for her, but am certain she should have checked before getting any work done on her body.

Someone else told me this.....why would anyone as beautiful as she used to be go out and do something so dumbe as that??? I feel sorry for her to a point but with the kind of money she has in the bank she certainly could have gotten proper care if it was her desire to do something like this!

Yeah, For age 62, I thought she still looked good until this happened. It's ashame and with all that money she has she could have gone to a much better doctor and would not be looking the way she is now.

I was talking to the girls at work about this as we all watch dancing with the stars...maybe she couldn't go to a good doctor...maybe she already has had too much done like enough botox injections and maybe they wouldn't give her anymore....still in all...she looks horrible!

I wondered if it wasn't something like that. She just looks mean and gothic. I don't care for her anyway. But I am sorry, I have a really hard time dealing with stupidity and if that is what she did, I haven't an ounce of sympathy for her..like you said, she has multi millions, why even look at a $400 procedure when common sense says it sounds foolish. I mean a non-licensed doctor? There are so many licensed! Choose one of them! And I don't know much about these injections, but $400 for one - at her celebrity level? Come on, that'd alone tell you he's a flake. She just brings down the whole energy level of the show. I mean alal the women wave and laugh and smile and jiggle as the camera pans them and you pass 3 nad are all happy, then Prissy - instant turn off - then the other 2 help to shake the feeling. At least that is how I feel.

Yeah I know what you mean. But I can understand why she looks so gloomy when they pan on her. She can't smile even if she wanted to.

Wow - I'm in the UK so I haven't seen the show and I hadn't seen her face but I followed the link you provided. She looks pretty bad, I'm surprised she's appearing on TV looking like that. I'm even more surprised she opted for a cut-price "doctor". You would think with her money she would have gone a bit more up-market. I would also have thought she would have had the right connections anyway because that's not the first cosmetic procedure she has had done. I guess there's a lot to be said for growing old gracefully!

It is really strange how after all she has gone through that she still choose to go on public tv. But I never understand alot of things famous people do and probably never will.

She was beautiful without it...now ewwwwwwwwwwwww. I guess when you have too much money that's the kind of stuff you do- fix what isn't broken. I don't feel sorry for her at all. I feel sorry for the fact that her self esteem was that low that she felt the need to fix her already beautiful face. Now she just looks like a plastic frankenstein.

self esteem aside - Why use an unlicensed doctor? HEr money and her supposed money sense and she goes with a $400 injection from an unlicensed docotr in Argentina? Sorry, I just can't feel sorry for someone like that.

You are so right! With the kind of money she has you figure she'd go to the best Dr. she could find. She looks pretty scary. I'm a fan of plastic surgery, however I also feel that you have to "grow old gracefully". There is no way you can be 60 years old and look 20 in a natural fashion. She can do some work, look YOUNGER, but not go back to her heyday.
