WOOOOHOOOOOOOOO!!!! I went today to take my Permit test for a licence and I passed on the first try!! Yippy! Im excited can you tell? LOL! I am 25 and just now getting it. I havent needed it before now. I always had someone to take me where I needed to be Either my sitter, My Husband or a family member. But now I have a job outside of the house. {I was a SAHM for 7 years} I need to be dependent on myself to get there. I cant be late I just started and its to difficult for my husband to leave work all the time. I drove all day with my sitter. She let me drive her truck. First place I went was to my husbands work to announce the good news. He was happy for me. Hes a mechanic and was a grubby so I didnt get a hug but I got a kiss and that was fine by me! I did well. I didnt hit anything which is a good sign! LOL! The kids were a little wary when I got them from school and got in the drivers seat. There just not used to me driving. And because Im over 18 I dont have to drive for 6 months and 50 hours. I can go take my driving test as soon as Im comfortable Driving. I will be driving alot the next couple weeks. So how old were you when you got your permit? Did you pass on the first try? Were you as excited as me about getting it? Where was the first place you drove to? ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always!~ Copper

I got my learners permit(G1)when I was 25 as well, I'm 28 now. I'm not out of my G2, but that's only because I don't have the time or money to do my road test. I failed my first road test for the G1 exit test, but many people do fail the first time, depending on a few things. For me, the tester was a complete a$$hole, very ignorant and rude, I didn't feel comfortable with him. The second time I passed, I had a woman tester, and she walked me through everything I had to do. That made the difference.

Well good Im not the only one who waited so long. I was supprised that I was very calm about it. I went in and did what I needed to do and I passed. I have already payed 31$ to get this permit and dont have to pay again unless I fail the driver test 3 times. How much do you have to pay for your road test? I wish you luck when you decide to go get it! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always!~ Copper

For the G2 exit test, it will cost me $60. To get the G1, the written test was $75, my road test to get into my G2 was $30. It costs too much up here to get licensed.

I think 95% of people fail there first or second time. My brother fail the first time and passed the second. Im hoping to get enough practice in so I can pass it on the first try. My luck I will do something stupid like you and fail. But oh well Ill try again. Cross your fingers! LOL! ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Congratulations CopperKitten. That is great news - I bet you won't be home much now that you can drive hehe. I am 37 and have yet to get my licence. I do know how to drive an automatic though LOL. That is something I need to do since my hubby travels a lot and our car sits down in the garage accumulating dust.

Thank you. Once I get my licence I wont be home. I have stayed home for the last 7 years other than when my husband was home in the evenings. I cant wait to get out in the world again. It will be so nice to be able to go do things this summer with the kids instead of sitting home all the time. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper

Congratulations! I was born to drive. I remember when I was a young teen I would go out to the backwoods to get firewood with him and he would let me drive his old truck. I was sold and I waited patiently till the day I turned 16. I got my learners license that day and 6 months later was a driver. I love driving I hope you enjoy it too. Oh the freedom!

Thank You. So far I do enjoy it. I like being able to get in and drive to where I want. Of course I cant by myself yet as Im only on a permit but its still awesome. My husband likes that he dosent have to drive all the time now. And yes the freedom! Im going to enjoy getting out of the house more especially since summer is coming. Now we can go to the park, swimming, or hiking instead of just staying home all the time. ~May The Kisses Of An Angel Cover And Protect You Always~ Copper
