I went to the kitchen and started counting them. The bad news I reached 30 and stopped counting, as I only use the first 10. Its terrible that I am wasting money with spices that we don't use now. I plan to spend some time this evening cleaning the cupboard. A couple of the jars have been in there a long time. I'm not sure if they are even made anymore. Thanks for making me take a look at my shelf.

I use garlic, oregano and lemon pepper more than anything else, but I keep sage, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and things like that for seasonal cooking. I have a lot more than I use, too, and a few that I use maybe once a year or so.

I think I have more then 20 or so and only use about 5 or so. Themean reason is because my husband who haven't cooked since we moved in together that was about 6 years ago go out and buy seasonings like he knows what they are for and on top of that don't use them. LOL

I recently cleaned out my spice cabinet --it was getting ridiculous! I like trying new recipes, but a lot of them call for some spice that I don't have, so I buy it, but end up never using it again.

Oh yeah, my cupboard is full of spices, but I end up using only a couple. I hit the garlic pretty heavy and the tenderizers and steak spice mix alot, a couple shots of Oregano and Bay Leaf now and then, but I really need to get in there and cook better!
