MyLot Friends Requests

I just discovered something about myLot that I was unaware of. I had urged my daughter to sign up about a year ago. Today I inadvertently clicked the Pending Friends Request link and found that she was among about 6 others from whom I had requested to be added to their friends list. Now, I don't have the best memory in the world, and some of these people I do not remember, and my daughter doesn't even remember signing up for myLot. So my question is what would you advise her to do? I told her that she should try signing into myLot(her screen name is initials plus last name), then determining if it is indeed her. The age was right but she did not post a location in her profile. Have you ever checked your Pending
Friends Request link?

I do check my pending friends request occasionally as I never know if I have talked someone into signing up or not.If she can still sign in,then she should be able to start posting.
I figure that the more friends that I have the more posts that I can respond to and help them make money along with myself.

It boggles my mind, carolscash, that I could be on myLot for so long without realizing this.

I have worldwise but I only came across it by accident! I think it would be a great idea for your daughter to check if it were her account or even to try and open an account - if her email address is the same it will let her know if she already has an account! I know that has happened to me when I have no recollection of joining a site and what my username/password is! xxx

That's one of the problems, mummymo. She doesn't remember if she was using her email account or her boyfriends. She has also changed email accounts since then. Either way I am going to keep after her.

where do you pending friends, when I get a notification for a friend, I always answer it. So I do not know if you are talking about something different

I check my pending friend requests every so often. I often see things in there that I do not remember or recognize.
Is the pending ones that 'you' or 'they' requested? With all of the glitches that MyLot has gone through since they have started 'updating', it makes you wonder what is going on.

Since my daughter was a referral, sherrir, and I was unable to add her, I guess it works the other way around. I am trying to get her to sign into her account at this time.

All of mine had accumulated some points, weemam, with the exception of my daughter and one other. I guess I will delete them too.

I check mine every couple of weeks. How long has it been since it started being pending? If it was about 1 year, I would think that she probably did sign up. Go to her profile page, how long has it been since she logged in? It might give you peace of mind, or alert you of a problem.

I would also suggest your daughter signing into myLot and see what happens. If she can't sign in, you can send her the myLot link administration and see if they will help her. Once in awhile I do sign check my friend's request page. If the request has been there a month or more and the member hasn't responded, I delete it. Tells me the member doesn't want to be on my friend's list.

I haven't checked my pending friend requests lately. I guess I will need to do that after I send my response to you. I think that is very weird that your daugher is in your pening folder but she didn't sign up. That is very strange. Did you all ever figure that out? I hope so because that is very strange!

I don't usually check my pending friends request link. I did know that I had some that I requested some time ago, and when I looked at this page tonight (thanks to your discussion
) I see that I have some 6 pages of pending requests, some dating as far back as a year ago! But I don't feel I should delete these, especially if these people are still active on here. As I see it, I made the request, now it is up to these users to decide whether or not to accept my friendship.
