Eversince when i'm a child i really like to sketch and draw. Usually i draw a cartoons, fairy tales characters and other struff. When i was just in my secondary level. My classmates let me to draw there projects and they give payment for it even i didn't asked any return. I joined several contest inside and outside school. In college, i am not active any school activities aside from my academic classes. During that time i decided to joined parish youth organizations. My talent in sketching or drawing help the organizations in the field of arts. I am not alone but many of us like arts and like to draw..I shared mine to them. If im bored i have my own drawing book and pencil and i just sketch what i feel every moments in my life. I remember before when one of my friends having her birthday and i don't had a money to buy a gift especially she invited me to attend her party. One thing that i thought those moment, I sketched her face guided by her picture that i had with a poem on it and i put it in the frame. It's a great thing and the feeling is delightful to gave an unique gift. But it's stop when i already working and never draw again in my life until now. I tried once to draw, but it seems i lose it. My right hand hardly to sketch things right now. Need to practice again and give time with it...Hoping i can get it back.

I too like to draw... well, sketch in your part.. Well, anyway, I wish I tried what you did. I mean, you went with things you like and you drew along with joining groups and organizations that had an affinity with your interests in drawing. Talent doesn't just vanish from you. You just have to do it again to wake it up as it were when you were still active in drawing... sketching I mean.

when you have a real talent you will gainit back once you really sit down and start to draw again. stick to it and it will come back in just a little while as long as you persevere. Just do not give up on yourself as that would be so sad. you have talent so use it.

Oh I know how you feel. I find similarity's to your drawing experiences. I find that it's hard to get back in to the groove of drawing when you haven't done it in a long time. I recently tired to tried to do some fashion illustrations for a project of mine and I could figure out why the pictures in my head wouldn't draw out while on paper....lack of practicing!! I hope you get your skills back!

It may not be completely lost. There is an expression called "rust" to describe this and that maybe what happened. You just need to practice your drawing again and it'll come back to you naturally Cia. Just keep at it and don't hold back on it.

From your story, i think you had a very nice drawing especially the one that you gave to your friend for her bday gift... Yeah, i think at least 1 hour per day, you should give your time to practice. Drawing is also need to practice, the same like learning musical instrument... i wanna learn piano again, it seemed that i cant play good as before.

Hello ciades, What a great talent you have and it is such a waste if you stop practicing it. I, myself am not good in arts. Nothing that I drew came closer to the real picture *laughs* I hope you will not leave it like that and keep practicing to improve your art skill. Good luck!
