some people are afraid to go to their class reunion because some of those same high school kids are prominent members in their community now, and they are just ordinary people still trying to make a dime, are your friends or family more successful than you? if so in what why, money, job, social status, etc,

I do not mind my friends are more successful than me. I feel proud that I have successful friends. However, I mind being surrounded by successful friends who turn snobbish. Hence, I seldom attend class reunions because most are already snobbish to start with even before they are successful. If it is friends who finally succeed after we have been through thick and thin, I continue to support the friends in reunions.

I went to my 25th high school reunion a couple of years ago. Many of my friends are more successful than I am. I had a hard time finding myself and suffered as a result of that. They seem to have found themselves sooner. I did get the prize for 'most changed' since high school. I just never though about whether that was good or bad. LOL

I am afraid of that mylself. Everyone always acted like they were better than I was in school and I was always teased and taunted for some odd reason. I think they would still look at me that way and not give me the time of day. I have changed in my appearance also and I just know they would judge me for it. I really don't care if they are more successful than I am. I just want them to treat me with respect since we are all adults now but i know that would never happen. I have tried with new friends and still get the same treatment from them in my life.

I havent had a chance to attend my high school reunion. In fact next month there will be an grand alumni homecoming in my school yet I cannot attend because I am in DK as of the moment. I would say there are some people in my batch that are successful in terms of having a family of their own and maybe some who have wonderful carreer. Oh how I love to be there, see old familiar faces, reminisce our high school life and update on each others lives. There are some people I lost contact with so maybe I might see them there
