Does anyone else get Family Fun Magazine? I just got mine and it has some really cute cake ideas in there for kids parties. There is a crown cake made with cookies, a beehive cake, a Rock record cake, an excavator (construction cake), a castle cake, and a pirate hat cake. They are basically all just construction type cakes, and you just have to follow the directions, you don't have to have any cake decorating experience to make these. They all seem really easy to make and very cute. This is in the April 2008 Family Fun Magazine. Check them out.

Whenever it comes to my birthday, I would, to me, choose a cake at Hannaford, with creme filling frosting on top. It is really awesome. Another thing is that I will choose ice cream cake. Best of all, I will choose to make homemade cake.

Yes, I got my copy in the mail yesterday and had to read it right away! I love that magazine! They have such great ideas in there and I did especially enjoy the cake ideas they had. What about that bulldozer construction cake one? It had NO baking and was made with a pound cake and twinkies. I found that amazing! I think we are going to try some of the recipes for the kids though I sort of did want the princess crown cake for my birthday in May and I'm no kid. And I'm thinking of the pirate hat cake for my grown daughter since she loves pirates so much or maybe for my grandson, not sure yet.
