I have great news, as he just signed a new contract for 2008 to 2009 season. He will miss some episodes like last year, as he will be on the stage in Chicago in the fall. Sorry don't know how many episodes he will not be on yet. He received a large raise in salary to stay. I hope the person that steps in for some episodes is great. No names have been mentioned yet, but I will miss seeing William as he is great as Grissom. Anyone have any idea who might be a choice for a short period of time?

Oh I'm really glad to hear this. I'd heard that this might have been their last year but hearing this it sounds like at least one more year. I couldn't picture Vegas without him on it, at least not on it for long. A few episodes is one thing but gone for good just wouldn't work right. He's just too much a part of the show. It wouldn't be the same without him.

I haven't heard they had renewed but I am glad they did. I do enjoy it although a few this past season weren't up to par in my opinion. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

It had already been announced that the show was renewed, so figured he had to be getting a big raise. Its a top rated show, so they had to find a way to make it work. People would stop watching, if Grissom was no longer a character on the show. The ratings were lower this past season when he wasn't on the show. Thanks for the reply.

I did not know that. He is kind of the pillar of the show. Even if they get a good actor to fill in the missing episodes it would be big shoes to fill. Oh well, as long as they leave my Nick in there, I'll be fine. I have no idea who would replace Petersen, or who should even try. Maybe Catherine should just run the whole dept. anyhow. By the way, in what play is Mr. Peterson performing over there in Chicago?

The actor will return to the stage in Conor McPherson's A Dublin Carol, which will have a six week run in his hometown of Chicago in mid-November. I wish he was performing in Los Angeles, as I would love to see him perform. Thanks for the reply.

More CSI I have missed him in the episodes he hasn't been in but as long as he continues to play the character I'm happy Can't think who they'd replace him with though. I suppose it depends on what they do for the season.

I really missed him also; however; am glad to see him in some of the episodes. My understanding he was going to leave, if he couldn't do other projects. I hope we see a great actor and there are several that I would really like to see fill in. Thanks for the reply.
