when they came out

Do you remember when microwaves first came out? Do you remember how much your first microwave cost? I remember when I was little, I think probably 10 or 11 we got our first microwave. My grandma bought it for us and it was a whopping $700! Could you imagine paying that much for a microwave?

ours cost $700 as well-but man..they were much bigger at the time.i swear you could fit a turkey in them. i had to laugh at my grandmother when she first used it-she was acting like it was a magic box. i suppose it was to her LOL

I remember that they were all huge. The first one I actually owned was a wedding present, so I am not sure how much it cost. I do remember thinking it was a really generous gift though, so I am sure they were pretty pricey,

I dont' remember when they first came out, but the first one that I bought was large and it cost me nearly $500. It defrosted the meat, cooked it, and kept it warm till I got home from work!, Right I used it to reheat leftovers. My daughter thinking she could help me put a dozen eggs in it to boil, well it was an exploision that she will never forget.
