How were the ancient pyramids built?

The Aztecs, Mayans and ancient Egyptians were three very different civilizations with one very large similarity: pyramids. However, of these three ancient cultures, the Egyptians set the standard for what most people recognize as classic pyramid design: massive monuments with a square base and four smooth-sided triangular sides, rising to a point. The Aztecs and Mayans built their pyramids with tiered steps and a flat top. . how do you think they were build, some people think a race of aliens came and showed the ancients how, others say slaves built the pyramids some say the pyramids were so sophisticated that it is amazing they were build by ancients at all how do you think the pyramids were built? http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2008/03/080328104302.htm

Hi winterose, This is a question that people have been asking for a long time, and one for which we are unlikely to get an answer. I have often thought that there might be some truth in the legend of Atlantis, where they had a civilization equal to and probably greater than our own. Some of that knowledge may still have been around. I think that mankind has been on this earth for millions of years and we only have history for a few thousand. Who knows what secrets the past may be hiding? Blessings.

I think it is a definite that all there of these civilizations were star walkers/travelers and left there mark on are planet with these pyramids similar structures are found on mars and many other planets also they lay on specific energy points on are planet along with coral castle and Stonehenge and many other structures there is no doubt in my mind that they could have been used as star gates by are star traveling ancients I recommend looking into the work of Richard C. Hoagland and William henry totally interesting and true enlightenment modern day history/science just doesn't cut it people wake up and free your mind from the lies its bigger then what modern history and science prevails so much bigger the truth will set you free.. If you want to talk more about the subject add me "Condemnation without investigation is the height of ignorance" -Albert einstein

First I want to thank you for introducing this site. I had a hard time leaving it. I found a lot of interesting things there. I personally believe that the ancient people were a lot more intelligent than we give them credit for. They did these marvelous works with out the equipment we have today and we can't figure out how they did it. I also think they were more knowledgeable than we give them credit for. I think that much of what they knew has been lost through the ages.

I always thought of this as well. I don't know how the Aztecs or the Mayans did it. I saw on some program on how the Egyptians built things. On all of their structures, they had like a walk way that as the building got taller so did the walk way. Once done with the building, they slowly took away the walk way. I also saw how they had rock cutting machines, not like we have to today but it did the trick. That's how we see the round towers that still stand today, along with the pyramids. They learned to do this from the Romans.

I think it was built also by the people of those countries back in that time era. I believe the ancient people built them. I think they worked very hard and were very sj=killed at it too, even though some of the pyramids too alot of years to make.
