coincedence or not... how possible it is?

have you ever wondered how it happens and why it happens?
i always have this moment with my hubby since i met him that he will always (ok 99% of the time) can read what's in my head, say the same word at the exact time, think of the same food, eat the same thing at the same time if we are away from each other and so on and so forth.
anyway, we were just talking about it coz this past few days we keep saying the same word at the very exact time and it is really interesting.
then today he have to go to toronto for a quick meeting and he told me i need to give him a call after 2 hours coz they have this meeting in the car and we cant really talk so i gave two and half hours before i give him the call at the hotel coz i was assuming he needs to take a shower and 30min is enough time for him.
to make the story short,,,
i called the front desk and gave my hubby's name so he can connect me to his room and for some reason i thought i heard his voice in front of the receptionist.
then suddenly my hubby talked and mention his name asking if that person on the line is looking for him.
how strange is that?
he told me that the receptionist is so shocked coz i was just asking for him and suddenly he is there.
so he said he is a psychic haha!
have you ever had such experience that dont just happens once but seem to occur often than normal?
can you explain such phenomena?
how do you feel if things like this happen?
do you think it happens for a reason or it is just plain coincident?

This happened to me a lot of timw with my sister and with some of my closer friends. If you spend a lot of time with a person it's normal, I think, to know what the other is thinking.

it happens to me too with family and close friends. often times if i am missing them i think of them really hard and after that i will hear something from them, haha strange but it works!
it will be great if i can figure out how this works but i guess i am stuck with not knowing at all, oh well!

Sounds very very interesting. It does not happen with me and my partner, we think on the different wavelenths...LOL! It happens rarely when we come out with the same thought at the same time.
It shows that you and your partner have very good understanding and you can feel each other's feeling without uttering words. Best of luck to you both.

yes, i do find it interesting so does he coz it seems to happen often, just makes us laugh when it happens specially if we are around others and they look at us in a very surprised way!

I'm forever saying what my wife is thinking, and she is always amazed that I'm thinking the same thing. A lot of times, it is something completely different to anything we've just been talking about, and it always makes us smile when it happens. As to why it happens, I don't know. Maybe it is the very reason one is so in love with the other, because they think the same, have the same outlook on life, love doing the same things. I think there is a definite link to one you are the closest to, and it does seem to happen too often to be just coincidence!

Oh yes, I'd say I am the hated one, but not by the people that matter, LOL!
I agree that two become one, as that sums up how my wife are. We draw strength from each other, and neither of us are completely comfortable without the other. Of course I should say three became one, adding my son, but thats a different part of the love equation!

it always makes me smile when i hear a man openly saying how much he loves his wife and attesting great stuff about the relationship. no wonder some family members hate you (lol) coz you are wonderful and your relationship sounds to be a very happy and blissful one.
i do agree that someone who is too connected to each other seem to have the same wavelength of thoughts and feelings.
YES, maybe that is one of the million reasons why someone remains so in love with the other.
the moment when the two becomes ONE

for some reason i miss this post, my bad eyes (hope my crossed eyes is not the caused- hahaha!)
i think in life we only have to consider those that matters and just ignore those that dont.
you must be a good husband and father of your son, keep it up!
i cant wait to have my own and see how my hubby enjoys our kid and ignores me, LOL!
there is a different level of love that you can only give to a wife, a son, daughter, parents, friends, etc.
so im sure you son dont have to compete with mom coz he knows where he stand.

hello,
yes i have experienced the same thing and i find it interesting. they did a study before that mind is so powerful that it can connect and send signals to the one you want to send it to.
i even did an experiment with a friend and i asked her to think hard and think of what i possibly thinking at that very moment.
i didnt say anything and just concentrate and it blows my mind when she told me that she saw a winding road of a stiff mountain and a white car passing on it.
that is exactly what i thought and i cant believe it does happen.
i never tried that again coz i get so scared as it feels strange, i was a kid then but until now i dont have the guts to do it, haha!

hello,
im not sure if that will apply with us. i mean when i met him the first time it already happened.
sometimes we will send a message at exact time, exact word and sometimes having the same situation (like standing in the bus, eating same food)
so i cannot agree that it can only happen after you've been with someone, not that i am saying that your statement is wrong i am just stating my experience.
anyway, i think in a long time relationship couples tend to read their partner's mind coz they already have that emotional foundation and the knowing of the person.
it is always nice if a guy can read the girls mind LOL!

this stuff happens with me and my boyfriend all the time like the weirdest things. like we'll be laying in bed and the fan will be blowing and ill be thinking i wish he would get up and turn it towards us more, and not two seconds later he got up and turned it towards me it was so weird. and it just seems like everytime i think something he'll ask me something that goes along with it. and sometimes it scares me to think things in my head haha becuase i'm like what if he can read my mind even though he probably can't but we just always want to do the same things and theres so many times he'll be thinking something and i'll say it and he'll say oh my god i was just thinking that. i think the more you're with someone you just know what they want and you start to think like each other

that's very cute. you two sounds to have lots in common, thats a great thing to start with :)
seriously, i feel that it is nice to be with someone who can read your mind or at least knows what you want or like in a specific time or place.
some couples are not like this and i think they are missing a huge connection there.
getting to know each other in a deeper manner is important i think coz it is one of the best way to understand your partner.

it can be coincidence or it can be something different too. there are very few people who really have something called 6th sense. they have this ability very much and when away also they can visualize things. I think he is with this rare ability. He is a Gem i can say you. You are lucky to have Him.

kidding aside, i used to think that there is a possibility of sixth sense coz it was written and been studied ever since and it do interest me.
i even tried to see how true this thing is and at some point i can say it works but not sure if it is just a coincident or it happens really.
i once told that our mind is capable of doing incredible things (i think we're only using very small percentage of our mind power - not sure bout the percentage coz i forgot) and we only need something to triggered it.
yes, he is my precious and i am always grateful to have him in my life and be part of his.

Five days ago, I also discuss about coincidence, and commenting on those who discussed with me, I came to see your topics for discussion on same topic. I opened it whether it is a reality or a coincidence. Like you are talking about somebody when all of a sudden that somebody comes around, when you are thinking of a friend who is far away, all of a sudden the phone rings and it was your friend whom you are thinking about. One commented that is is a universal rule and that for me there must be some scientific explanation on that. And is is coincidence also that we are thinking of the same topic?

hmmm, you made me wonder, haha!
not sure if i can consider as a coincidence posting the same topic coz i feel such issue is common, just my thoughts.
anyway, yes i read before that there is really a scientific explanation about such phenomena , they claim it is because of wave length that we produce and it connects us to those we care.
i think majority of human experience it and we all wonder how that happened.
still something i wonder though, haha!
i feel it is a coincidence and a simple proof that we are all connected to each other.

That is really strange, I have the same sorts of things that happen in my life too. I will think something as my hubby says it, and I will think it in exactly the same words as he speaks. I always tell him he is stealing my thoughts! Then with my mum, if I think about her she phones me and sometimes if she is thinking about me I phone her! So perhaps there is some connection with the people you love, I always think that everyone has some kind of ability in them but that we just do not know how to tune into it properly and use it.

i think this is possible that we are all connected with each other and we can sense the other no matter how far they are coz have that special place in our hearts for them.
i do feel the same way that we all have the ability but just need enough practice to tune it right.

I do not know how to explain it except it always seemed like we were tuned in to each other even when we were not together. I thinkit is called extra sensory perception or esp anyway we had it for sure.

yes, i read it somewhere and they say some have learned how to use in and gain from it.
i wish i can learn how to tune it better :)
it will be nice if we can do it coz it will help us understand our partner (love one) better and maybe helps us to be more sensitive towards other's feelings.

That thing...coincidence or whatever it is...always happen to me and my husband. So many times we try to call each other but the phone is busy. Later on we will find out that it's busy because we are both trying to call each other at exactly the same time. There are also times when I was about to text him something but before I was able to send him my message, I will receive the exact message from him. I can tell what he wants and even knows exactly what he wants to eat at a certain time. We both love photography. Just last December, we went to Baguio for a short vacation. As we stroll around, we take pictures. While at the Wright Park, my attention was caught by the big trees above which is a nice contrast to the blue skies so I took several shots of it. When my husband and I were downloading the pictures, we are both surprised that we have both taken shots of the trees and skies above us. There are many other incidents similar to this. I guess it will be very hard to put everything in writing. My only explanation to this is maybe we are soulmates. Our hearts and minds are connected that's why things like these happens.

sounds fun out there,,, i do know what it feels like and it is funny and strange at times.
it is great to know that you guys share the same thoughts and likes, it is a wonderful feeling and not most couple are aware of.
i think this kind of experiences adds up to the fun of the relationship.
anyway, i am happy you consider your hubby as your soul mate, i know you guys have been through a lot and it is great to know that despite all this you have each other to count on and share this kind of wonderful experience that only connected people can imagine and experience.

Do I believe in phenomenons? No. Is it a coincidence? No. Everything is an act of God. I forgot the verse (it was in Hebrews) but it said something "Through Faith and not Coincidence." I look at it that way too.

thanks for participating, i have to read it again, haha the part were you mention "weird discussion though".
i agree at some point (religious point of view) that according to their holy book (citing about different religion) that everything happens according to their god's will and i have nothing against that at all.
it always interest me to hear someone answering a topic based on what they believe and or faith coz it is always different depending on one's belief or faith.
but if you will ask my humble opinion i feel it is more scientific coz i see it as a phenomenon just dont know how it happens and why it occurs.
anyway, i appreciate your thoughts and always welcome to hear some more of you.

well,jairgirl,the things happened between you and your husband also happens on my wife and i many times,i think it's because two persons have lived together for many years and they have affected each other,they know each other extremely well,they have same experiences on some things,so,these common experiences will affect their judging in the same way.I think that's the reason.

yes i can understand that most part of such thing happen coz of the years of togetherness and there is such connection that binds them whether they are near or far and that makes it happen somehow.
but like i said to one of the poster here, i had these happen many times even before i really get to know the guy (my hubby now). and it never happens to me before so it really struck me since then.

well this def. doesn't happen with me and Chaz but we have on occation been thinking of the same thing but I have had times where I was thinking of my friend Tiff and whether I should call her and minutes later she calls, that's weird ususally I laugh and say i was just thinking of you and she laughs, but I think that sometimes because you have been with or around someone for a long period of time you get to know them so it isn't unusual to be thinking of the same thing, I think it was a coincedence that he was there just when you called, I don't think it was fate or some weird happening. stuff like that happens all the time. I do think it is a sign of you both being very close and that is something not alot of couples have, including but not limited to ,me!

thanks for sharing your experience, i am concluding that almost everybody experience such thing at least once in their lifetime :)
most poster here says that maybe it is due to the closeness so they tend to have the same thoughts and feelings at times.
i agree with you when you said you dont consider it as a fate or something else coz i believe it has nothing to do with it (IMHO) and maybe just a sign that two person are tied and have a wonderful relationship as a friend, lovers or family.
