heard rumors that the show is not going to get picked up for another season. That would really be ashamed. Any other Friday Night Light Fans here.

I don't watch Friday Night Lights , but I know it is a show with a lot of fans that has been on the proverbial TV bubble. Good news though! I read on TVGuide's website, and in the magazine, that NBC had renewed Friday Night Lights. And if I read it right, they will bring it back in January of 2009 to be a midseason replacement. Apparently it will still have a whole season of episodes, it just will start in January instead of the fall. Hope I helped. I hate it when I don't know what is happening with my favorite shows.

I know how disappointing it is to get into a show, and then have the network yank it. I've not heard one bad thing about that show. People seem to really enjoy it.

The series was picked up for 2 more seasons and NBC will cooperate again with Direct TV. Direct TV will aired first, then after the season finished, NBC will rerun the show. So glad to hear this since it is my favorite series, but I also wonder about how the casts going to be since almost all of them have graduted high school this season.

NBC has made a deal with DirectTV for a 15 episode third season of Friday Night Lights. It will air exclusively on DirecTV starting in October 2008, then will air on NBC in early 2009. It's not ideal, but I'm just relieved the show was picked up for another season.
